The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 1 Recap Contains Spoilers
In The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 1, Clone Force 99 and Omega are on a new mission for Cid on an island. They fight giant sea creatures to carry out their mission successfully. Omega successfully saves her friend from the giant creatures. When the Bad Batch returns to Ord Mantell, Cid introduces them to Phee, a pirate. Hunter and his team’s next mission will be in the Outer Rim for Phee.
Cid shows them a hologram of Castle Serenno, the former home of Count Dooku. He is a Jedi who betrayed the Republic and led the Separatists in a war. She tells them that Count Dooku is dead, and his entire war chest is up for grabs. The Empire is already trying to get its hands on it, but even others have a chance to get something out of it. Hunter finds the mission risky and tells Cid to get the stuff alone.
Later, Wrecker, Tech, and Echo vote and decide to carry out Cid-Phee’s mission. They try to convince Hunter of the same. Hunter again reminds them of the danger of the place. Cid tells them they’ll get freedom if they pull off the heist. The Empire might soon come to Ord Mantell and attack them. They all finally head to the Outer Rim to carry out the mission.
On the ship, Echo tells Hunter that he knows the reason for agreeing to the mission on the ship – for freedom. He reminds him that they can do much better than hide. They have to prepare to fight the Empire. Hunter tells him that Omega doesn’t deserve this kind of life. But Echo blames the situation entirely on Omega and says that taking her off Kamino was the right thing, but others also need help. Omega overhears Echo and Hunter’s conversation.

Clone Force 99 land in the city and walk out to find Dooku’s palace. The Stormtroopers are already present at the palace to take away the weapons. The Bad Batch discreetly carries out the mission. They attack one of the Stormtroopers and decide to take stuff from the war chest and leave quickly.
The troopers suspect that something is going wrong. Wrecker explodes a few of their transport ships, and the troopers get in attack mode to find what caused the blast. Hunter and Wrecker are waiting outside for Tech, Echo and Omega, who are still inside the troopers’ Cargo.
Echo tells Hunter he will try to control the ship’s pod and escape. Hunter tells them to meet at Marauder, but the stormtroopers on the ground attack them. Hunter and Wrecker fight the troopers while Tech, Echo and Omega attempt to escape from the Cargo. However, the troopers start shooting at them too.
Omega suggests to Echo that they can escape in a Cargo container. Hunter and Wrecker find a way to escape from the troopers on the ground. The episode ends with Tech, Echo and Omega jumping out of a cargo container of the ship and falling. But have they landed smoothly? That’s something we will find out in the next episode.

The Bad Batch Season 1 Episode 1 Review: Final Thoughts
The first episode started with little stress for the characters in the beginning. It’s a good start to get us excited to see how they will keep themselves safe from the enemy. Their first mission is for freedom from Cid and the life they’re living. Considering they’re safe on Ord, Mantell hints that the Empire is still unaware that they’re alive. It also comes with many challenges that we hopefully get to see in the upcoming episodes. What’s up with Crosshair after his former gang saves his life? Will he change or still serve the Empire? Can’t wait to know.
Watch the first episode on Disney+ Hotstar.
