Secrets of Summer Season 2: An Enjoyable Easy Watch
The best thing about Secrets of Summer Season 1 was the fact that it did not complicate itself much. Although there was an element of mystery involved from the very start, it did not become overbearing or too complex to take away the easy and light feeling that you get while watching this show. The second season was determined to be the same successful, making the show fun and feel-good like the first season.
The first season of Secrets of Summer aka Cielo Grande ended with Steffi losing the Summer Crush competition but, gaining insight and learning a lot. For instance, finding out that Luz is actually her sister! However, her arch-enemy Natasha won the competition but, not in peace as trolls followed her online, bashing her for winning due to unfair advantage. Enraged, Natasha called someone named Oliver at the end of the first season to discuss the future of the Cielo Grande hotel.
Secrets of Summer Season 2 picks off exactly where the first season closed and, we are introduced to Oliver- who is Natasha’s brother. The duo come to Cielo Grande and all they do is create trouble and make life difficult for Steffi, Luz and their friends. Staying back at Cielo to connect with Luz and her mother seems to have come at a price because the second season demands Steffi to put everything she can forward to save the hotel and the people she loves the most.

Similar to the tone and vibe of the first season, Secrets of Summer Season 2 unfolds the narrative in a rather breezy and simple way. We get to see the struggles and obstacles that everyone has to overcome, with Steffi at the centre. The pre-established love lives of our characters are explored and some new ones take birth. However, at the core, the show remains about love, learning and living life to its fullest.
Secrets of Summer Season 2: Final Verdict
Overall, Secrets of Summer Season 2 is an enjoyable flick. You can tune it in for a light, feel-good watch that will take your mind off things and make you live in the moment of the show. The cinematography continues to be breathtaking with the musical aspect not standing out a lot but, being excellent in the moments it shows up. Incorporating the real wakeboarding moments only elevates the series and gives it a more grand outlook.
