The traditional enlistment send-off with Kpop group members wishing the outgoing member well and an eventual safe return from their military service period was followed by BTS. On December 13, 2022, group members R.M., Suga, J-hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook snapped a parting memoir with the eldest member Jin, all set to depart for his deployment for 18 month.
ARMY, the fanbase of the global stars shared the sentiment with the other members as fans from around the world went on to share long threads of Purple Hearts for The Astronaut singer, also proclaimed to be the fans’ Moon. The OT7 picture was the last straw that the fandom had been waiting for while clenching their chests, as it would mark the final farewell to Kim Seokjin.

And, now that the group has completed that task as well by gathering around him, with all their hands patting his head and leaving him with warm memories and heartfelt wishes, they’ve also shared the moment for their fans to witness on their official Twitter account with the caption, “Our hyung!! Please go and come back safely!! Love you” accompanied by purple hearts, the affectionate symbol adopted by the band and fans alike.
They weren’t the only ones to share such wishes. BTS’ choreographer Son Sung-deuk also took to his Instagram account to leave the singer’s photo with his buzzcut and a message that hoped for him to stay healthy and have safe and precious time away during his enlistment period.
