Spirited Trailer: Ryan Reynolds Gets Haunted by Will Ferrell in a Christmas Special

The trailer for the new festival-themed flick Spirited has been released on Youtube and other social media platforms. It stars the legendary comic duo of Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool, Free Guy) and Will Ferrell (Anchorman, The Other Guys), in an epic retelling of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, reshaped as a heartwarming musical comedy. Notably, the film is directed by Sean Anders (Instant Family, Daddy’s Home) and written by him and John Morris.

The rest of the cast will feature Octavia Spencer, Patrick Page, Sunita Mani, Loren Woods, Joe Tippett, Marlow Barkley and Jen Tullock. The film will have new musical numbers from acclaimed artists Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. Moreover, the film will have a running time of two hours and seven minutes and is produced by Reynolds, Ferrell, John Morris, Sean Anders, George Dewey, David Koplan, and Jessica Elbaum.

The trailer for the holiday special flick starts with the rendition of the ghost of Christmas, who attempts to haunt Clint Briggs (played by Ryan Reynolds) and ultimately hands over the reins to Ebenezer Scrooge (played by Will Ferrell). The ghost with a heart tries to recognize the kindness within Clint and makes his mission to take him on an adventure of a lifetime.

The film further dweleves into the traditional elements of the story with some exciting musical numbers from the comical duo. It also features Octavia Spencer in a pivotal role, who takes part in a humorous scene from the official trailer. Apart from this, there are several jokes and one-liners in the trailer that will definitely tickle the funny bone with you.

The modern-day rendition of the Chirstmas classic has all the ingredients for a perfect holiday starter. It excels in the comedy department and promises to be a heartwarming tale of love, friendship and of course, tap dance.
