The Astronaut: BTS’ Jin Takes the Stage At Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres Tour in Buenos Aires

The Astronaut, which is BTS’ Jin’s debut solo single hit was released on October 28. Co-written by the South Korean singer & Coldplay and produced by Kygo and Bill Rahko, the pop-rock song soon became a fan favourite, as Jin’s voice enthralled ARMY’s with the sweet lyrics and the music video with many easter eggs hinting at the Kpop boy band’s love for their fans.

In the video, Jin is in search of the feeling of home as he longs to get back to space in his spaceship. But he decides to stay back where he feels seen, loved and feel like a family to him. From Chris Martin’s small cameo as a news reporter to the guitar given by him to Jin, used as a prop.

ARMYs have been looking for many hidden things, some pointed out to the tattoo of the singer’s neck, which was essentially ARMY, written in braille. While the music video made many nostalgic and feel emotional, fans were even more eager to see the performance live, as Jin had flown to Argentina to perform with Coldplay at their concert.

On 29th October, Jin took on the stage at Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres Tour in Buenos Aires to perform the song ‘The Astronaut‘ for the first time. Prior to this, he was also spotted yesterday, enjoying Coldplay’s concert as Chris Martin gave him a shout-out from the stage, calling him my brother Jin.

Before the live performance, Chris talked a bit about his collaboration with BTS Members – RM, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, for the song My Universe, and how they came together. He called it a good experience and from there started a mutual relationship between the two bands, leading to this solo single with Jin.

The live performance is nothing sort of magical with galaxy visuals on display and colour-changing ARMY bombs. Jin starts the song at the front stage and soon we witness a sweet moment between the two lead singers, running to hug each other. Martin lends his adlibs and supporting vocals to the song, as they mesmerised the audience with their soothing performance.
