Black Panther Wakanda Forever has less than a month left before its release and Marvel Studios has released a behind the scene featurette from their upcoming film. The action-packed feature film ventures back to the kingdom of Wakanda where a new threat emerges from a hidden undersea nation called Talokan.
In the film, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba) fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death.
As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda.

The cast of the film includes Angela Bassett, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Danai Gurira, Florence Kasumba, Lupita Nyong’o, Martin Freeman, Tenoch Huerta, Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena and Alex Livanalli. The new featurette starts off with the song No woman, no cry, as the cast talks about the success of the film and the beloved late costar Chadwick Boseman.
Director Ryan Coogler is heard saying, “Chadwick was very much my artistic partner. We worked together on where we wanted the story to go,” even as Winston Duke, who plays M’baku, says, “We all suffered an incredible loss. All together we ended up using these feelings to create something really special.”
Angela Bassett further says that by telling of this story, they were all able to honour him together and the legacy that he left behind. It was really moving for the cast to come back as they will be exploring a whole new world underwater, with some new characters also introduced. One of the most significant is the character of Namor, the king of an underwater civilization called Talokan.
Lupita Nyong’o tells us that the film will be full of dynamic action and adventure, with the emotional stakes so high. Where things are happening up, down, and everywhere. And Letitia Wright ends the video by saying, “I’m excited about us honouring Chad. He would want us to just inspire the world.”
