In this alternative version of the Shakespearean tragedy, the leading lady attempts to get back with his ex. Furthermore, throughout the official trailer, we can see her desperately following the lovers, and explaining her side of the story.

Ultimately, She decides to crash the grand wedding and convince Romeo Montague at all costs. Moreover, Rosaline also befriends Juliet in the process and comes clean about her ex-boyfriend. At one point in the trailer, we can even see Juliet trying to help her in the process. Which also marks a direct comical reference to the poison scene.

Rosaline trailer transforms an age-old tragedy into a modern romantic comedy. It no longer uses Anglo-Saxon literature but relies on modern slang and cuss words. Something, that suits the 21st-century rendition of the play.

Booksmart fame Kaitlyn Dever carries the right amount of sass, with witty dialogues and pitch-perfect one-liners. She is perfect in the shoes of the Shakespearean character, with an original voice of her own.
