Little Women (작은 아씨들) is a Korean mystery thriller drama that revolves around the predicament faced by three sisters. The story follows their journey after they find themselves in the midst of a major incident that changes their lives forever. Directed by Kim Hee-won and written by Jung Seo-kyung, the drama stars Kim Go-eun, Nam Ji-hyun, Park Ji-hoo, Wo Ha-joon, alongside other cast members.
The 12 episodes show premiered on September 3, 2022, and releases new episodes every Saturday and Sunday at 9 PM KST on tvN taking over the timeslot previously occupied by Alchemy of Souls. Little Women episode 3 has a run time of 76 minutes.
Netflix’s synopsis of the series reads:

Little Women episode 3 starts with In-ju rushing off to try and save director Shin; on the other hand, we have In-kyung questioning In-hye about her friend Park Hyo-rin and the painting. She tells her that Hyo-rin’s mother has promised to support her education abroad and that this is just a small price for what she is to get.
She tries to tell her otherwise but In-hye is not ready to listen and later leaves with Hyo-rin for her party. Elsewhere, In-ju calls for help and tries to give director Shin CPR but nothing works and he ends up losing his life. However, she sees a blue orchid that had fallen out of the car.
Elsewhere, In-kyung tries to break into the party and take In-hye back home with her but is stopped by the guards. She doesn’t give up and instead gets drunk to create havoc which forces In-hye to leave the party and go back home with her.
In the hospital, Do-il arrives to see a shocked In-ju and while giving her phone back he tells her the statement that she is supposed to give to the police. She understands that he must know the people director Shin was talking about and becomes alert.

But then he shows her footage of Hwa-young filling up a bag with 2 billion won before leaving South Korea and tries to avoid the talk. But Do-il knows that something is up and plans to put the 2 billion won on director Shin in order to help her escape the situation.
Back at the Park household, Won Sang-a is frustrated by the incident and complains to the secretary about her bad work on finding out about In-hye’s background. But Park Jae-sang isn’t as worried because he has gotten to know that In-kyung’s weakness is her sister and this can be of use to him.
In-hye is upset by the events that took place and decide to give her sister the silent treatment. The next day, In-ju finds out about a person Won Sang-woo who might be able to help her out and goes out to meet with the Princess orchids. There the man tells her that she should just indulge herself with the money left for her instead of returning it to the people behind the embezzlement.
He then gives her the embezzlement ledgers that were hidden in his room before making her escape through the window when Do-il arrives. However, her presence was caught by Do-il when he finds her cell phone in the room and then sees her running away from the window.
Elsewhere, Jae-sang is shooting a video for his mayoral elections as he speaks about his everyday family life and what he has learnt from his father-in-law. In-hye is also present in the video as Hyo-rin’s best friend and gives her compliment to the family in front of her.
On the other hand, Do-il catches up with In-ju and the two set off together in his car. He tells the real reason why Won San-woo gave her the ledgers, telling her that this is just his way of getting his revenge without causing any harm to himself.

He then tells her that the ledger can bring them a lot of money and he will help her deal with this in order to make up for his regret for not being able to help Hwa-young. The two strike a deal and are ready to work together.
Elsewhere, In-kyung gets a call from her deceased informant’s brother who gives her a pen drive containing the CCTV footage of one of the suicide victims Jae-sang presented four years ago. In the footage, they notice that the man is smelling something blue right before his death.
While she is unable to understand what that is, it is later when she notices the blue orchid that was brought back by Jang-ho does it click to her that the man was smelling the exact same flower in the footage.
On the other hand, In-hye tells In-ju that she will be leaving for Boston next month and that Hyo-rin’s mother has paid for her expenses. She also tells her that their mother had already signed the consent form before disappearing and that In-ju has no right to interfere in this decision.
Before leaving, she adds that the evening when their mother fled with her trip money was when she decided to leave the house no matter what the cost.

In-ju is unable to bear this and goes to meet Sang-a the next day to return the money spent for her transfer to Boston. There it is revealed that In-hye has earned herself a scholarship and shows her painting to In-ju. But something is not right about the paintings.
All of In-hye’s works are dark and gloomy with one of them showing a dying woman who actually represents her sister. Sang-a tells In-ju that this is the reflection of her family life which has put such a gloomy aura around In-hye.
In-ju is left with nothing to say and leaves from there, however, Sang-a can’t help but try to find out how she is able to afford the shoes she is wearing and the money that she brought in cash. Later, In-ju goes to the yoga centre and suddenly remembers the sister that they once had who had died and was forgotten by the family.
Little Women Episode 3 Ending
Little Women episode 3 ends with In-kyung discovering the money that was hidden in the kimchi boxes by In-ju and waiting to question her sister. But In-ju cannot help thinking about her dead sister and seems absent-minded because In-hye somehow knows about her.
She accepts having gotten this money from Hwa-young and that she will spend it as she wishes. Even when In-kyung threatens to sell her off to the police, she doesn’t mind going to prison. Instead, she talks about their sister which leaves In-kyung shocked as she cannot remember having another sister.
In-ju then takes the money and goes to their aunt to ask for help with the money. She tells her that she should help them with the money because of her guilt for not being able to save their dead sister. This was also the reason why she took In-kyung with her.

The aunt agrees to all this and is ready to help her get an apartment and to whitewash the money.
Elsewhere, In-hye is staying at the Park household when she comes across a room with soldier figurines and a dollhouse. Intrigued by the doll in the dollhouse, she takes it away but is caught by Jae-sang.
He doesn’t call her out but instead tells her about his childhood when he too would steal Won San-woo’s toys because he was jealous about not being able to be a part of the rich household. However, he made his sacrifices which finally brought him to this high position.
After this, he asks her if she too is determined to change her life like him, even if it meant to betray the one who loves her the most. And from the looks on In-hye’s face, it seems like she is indeed ready.

Little Women Episode 3 Review
The episode was without a doubt another thrilling glimpse into the beginning of the Oh sisters’ messed-up lives. They are not so slowly falling into some really deep pits which are going to cause them some real big problems soon.
Hyo-rin’s parents are ready to make some big plans for their daughter which will cause huge huge troubles for In-hye. But the teenager has really given up on being able to live a better life with her family which is seriously pushing her into these troubled waters.
Her dark paintings with gruesome scenes are really bringing forth the burden she is silently facing and it is sad to see such a wonderful talent break like this.
On the other hand, I’m excited to see the kind of game-changer In-ju is bound to become and I’m hoping In-kyung would stop pushing people away with her reckless behaviour.
The blue orchid is getting clearer in the vision of In-ju and In-kyung which may play yet another major role in discovering the secrets that they are behind. While I’m also excited for the partnership Do-il and In-ju are going to show.
Lastly, Jae-sang is truly a master manipulator and his character is another thing to look forward to in this show.
Altogether, this episode finally begins the real thrill of the show and I’m eagerly waiting for the ride that is soon to come.
