The series starts off when a cult member is found murdered in a cave after a dispute with a Bike gang over land. On the other hand, Andri learns he’s the same young man he’d been convinced was guilty of a woman’s 2013 disappearance. The girl’s name was Lina and she was Ivar’s girlfriend, the man who was murdered in the cave.

We were introduced to Gunnar, the leader of the Horns bike gang but soon the arrival of more biker-gang reinforcements and a new leader named Hopper from Denmark rattles and divides the cult. The police also learn how Ivar, the bikers and the cult are connected. Gunnar is actually Oddur’s son, who is the leader of the Family Cult group.

And Hopper is Gunnar’s uncle from his mother’s side, which makes him Oddur’s brother-in-law. It is a fight between a son and father over a piece of land and its ownership. While Gunnar and his sister were also friends with Ivar and Lina, and the group also included Bergur, Lina’s brother.

In the last two episodes, Bergur’s boyfriend Sverrir goes to Asar, to get more information about the drug parcel that is arriving on a ship. He is also working as an undercover informant for Sonja, the head of the narcotics department. To get proof of Hopper’s connection to the drugs, Sonja sends Sverrir as a mole to the biker gang’s warehouse, where Hopper tests his trustworthiness.

He gives him false information about Gunnar and Baby Lars being the ones to kill Ivar. Sverrir gives this information to the police, which leads to their arrest and proves that Sverrir is a mole working with the police. Hopper decides to take matters into his hands and kills him by throwing him off a rocky cliff.

When Sverrir disappears, the police begin a search. On probation, Andri visits his mother and we get to know about his father and abusive childhood. While Gunnar discovers he’s now persona non grata in Hopper’s eyes since he was the one to bring Sverrir. The news of one of the biker members dying urges Oddur to check on his son and he brings Gunnar to the cult camp.

The ship carrying the drug parcel also arrives while police are investigating Sverrir’s murder. In haste to get to the ship, Hopper jumps onto a nearby boat which was carrying Bardur (Hinrika’s husband) and her adopted son. He knocks out Bardur and tries to harm her son as well but Hinrika saves them both at the right time.

On the other hand, Trausti and Andri get to know that Ivar’s father Kristján might be lying about his whereabouts on the day of the murder, as he is caught by a red light camera, driving up North. Ivar’s family and friends are also coming to the cult camp for his funeral and it is apt time for the investigating team to get more clues.

After not being convinced by Kristján’s excuses for driving north to his office for work, Andri takes the help of his father-in-law, who connects him to the CCTV company. A camera of the company was directed toward Kristján’s office and the video shows that he was visited by Bergur that night and they had a heated argument.

When Kristján is questioned again about his alibi with screenshots of him with Bergur, he confesses that he actually had slept with Lina and Bergur was blackmailing him about it, in exchange for money. But he claims that he had no hand in her disappearance. Hinrika also questions Soley and gets to know that she might be lying about Bergur’s alibi as well.

She follows him into the caves to talk to him but he freaks out and runs off to his car with a gun. Soley also follows him, not knowing what’s happening but they are chased by the police who finally block him from both sides on a bridge. He threatens to kill Soley and loads his gun but Andri shoots him before that and he falls into the water body.

We then get to know that after a heated argument with Kristján that night, Bergur visited Ivar to tell him about his father and Lina. However, to his utter shock, Ivar already knew of it. In fact, he calls her a slut and confessed that’s why he killed her. As soon as he admits he killed Lina, Bergur picks up a hammer and murders Ivar by hitting on his head.

In the end, Andri has to go through a trial as he killed a civilian, but his colleagues testify in his favour that Andri saved Soley or Bergur would have shot her. Even though he did the right thing, he was not allowed to carry a firearm as a consequence of what he did 7 years ago (using excessive force in an interrogation). He is given 2 years of prison time and the series ends with a sweet call between him and his mother.

Entrapped is currently streaming on Netflix.
