The makers dropped the riveting House of the Dragon Episode 4 preview today. After the release of episode 3, the excitement to know what’s going to happen next is sky high. The Game of Thrones prequel has successfully managed to suck viewers’ attention fully in no time. So what plans does George RR Martin has next to shock our minds? Well, we got a small glimpse already.
In the new promo for episode 4, Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) returns to King’s Landing from the Stepstones after killing the Crab Feeder. He tells his brother King Viserys I Targaryen (Paddy Considine), that he’s been crowned as the King of the Narrow Sea. Viserys are not pleased to hear the news at all.
The people are still concerned if Princess Rhaenyra (Milly Alcock) will still be the Queen and rule the Seven Kingdoms. Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifans) is doing everything evil to ensure that his daughter’s firstborn and Rhaenyra’s step-brother Aegon Targaryen is made the heir. Alicent is also pregnant with Viserys’ second child.
House of the Dragon Episode 4 promo also focuses on a rumour that upsets Viserys. Is it something Otto has done so that Rhaenyra is not the heir anymore? In one of the scenes, Viserys yells at Rhaenyra that she is his political headache. Whatever the gossip, Alicent seems to support her Rhaenyra and doubts Daemon.

All this comes down to one question – Who will be the next heir – Daemon, Rhaenyra or Aegon? Well, only time will tell. The promo hints that major events will happen in episode 4, which will lead to another big time jump. Will we finally see Rhaenyra, Alicent and Aegon as adults?

Meanwhile, the first season of HoTD has 10 episodes. The makers have already confirmed season 2. House of the Dragon Episode 4 will release on September 11 at 9 pm ET on HBO Max. In India, the new episode will stream on Disney+ Hotstar on September 12 at 6:30 am.
