Alchemy of Souls episode 20 has brought an end to the first season of this amazing fantasy Kdrama that has stolen our hearts for sure. The season finale has left fans speechless while building up their excitement for the next part of the show with the preview shown at the end.
The finale really did do justice to the show till now and fans are looking forward to the release of the new season towards the end of this year. Now while some fans are saying their goodbyes to their lovely Mu-deok aka Jung So-min, there are some who are not satisfied with her ending.
It is no surprise that Jin Bu-yeon is an OP character in this show and we have been looking forward to some really kickass scenes from her as well as her reunion with her family. So when we got none of the above it is obvious why the disappointment lurks in the air.
But moving on, the preview of the next season was like a cherry on the cake at the end of the episode and now all we can talk about is the character development and time lapse that has taken place in the upcoming season. Seeing the more mature looks of the character who have won our hearts with their lovely smiles only adds to our eagerness.

We know that the revenge plot, the seriousness and the intensity of the new season are going to blow our minds away and the preview has proved that. Another thing that this sneak peeks into the next part has done is make fans more accepting of our new female lead- Go Yoon-jung.
There is no doubt that we have grown used to Jung So-min and that also has to do with how wonderfully she has played three different roles in season 1. This made it hard for fans to replace Go Yoon-jung with her, but after the preview, we can say that we believe our new female lead.
“GO YOUNJUNG OPENING AND CLOSING THE SEASON? SHE IS GOING TO SERVE SO HARD. IM VERY EXCITED TO SEE NAKSU IN POWER AGAIN!!!! #AlchemyOfSoulsEp20” writes one of the fans.
Another fan wrote, “The fact that Wook abandons his father’s sword and fights with the sword of his missing lover – the weapon which killed him – like a memento, making it his own and carrying her always with him wherever he goes, never forgetting about her. #AlchemyOfSoulsEp20 #AlchemyOfSouls” as they point at the sword Jang Uk uses in the preview clip.

Love this show and actors in it. Some better actors than others. Amazing costumes esp wooka. I want most of his robes. I’m not angry about the ending YET. If we can find out what happens to mudeok and if she gets to be with her family and use her powers, if we find out how it’s possible for naksu to get her body back, how did wook get born again, etc etc, I will be ok. Many episodes were slow, and that’s ok with me, but ep 20 last half seemed rushed. Didn’t get to see the actual wedding, things like that.
I like the way they end the season 1. They left Jin Bu Yeon story open as well. So I’m hoping Jung So Min will still be part of Season two even though it’s not confirmed and denied her appearance on next season. But the next season will not make any sense if they will not show what happened to Mudeok after been rescued and how Naksu gain back her body.
I think the people who rescued Mudeok are from Jinjowon which makes me think Jung So Min will still be on season 2. ????
I am very disappointed in the finale. Watch all 20 episodes and at the end it all went down hill for me. All that they went through together to end the way it did was not worth watching
Which fanz are excited by this end?????
… bakwas bakwas bakwas
Very poor season finale, I understand the got more money for season 2 and they will be changing lead actress BUT this was abrupt and seemed forced. Poor cold shocking and manipulative finale to s great season.
ABDOLUTELY DISSATISFIED & ANGRY ON THIS…
It is a sock after watching the final episode end like that. Leaving too much open questions. If I rate 10/10 of all others episode then the episode 20 is a 2. Understand it try to entice watchers for season 2 but I feel the author didn’t respect the viewer’s desires of waiting and watching the whole 20 episodes. Really poor final episode
Awful ending. Won’t bother with Season 2. Should have given the actress more money to sign on to Season 2. Should have stopped at Episode 19. Most real comments I’ve read think the same way. Poor writing – very bad ending – and more like an American drama – where the bad guys win.
lol they should not replace jung so-min, she deserves to be the lead from season 1 to season 2, she did great and her chemistry with lee jae wook is top tier so why the hell will they replace her with another female actress
dissapointing finale, jung so min deserves better
JUNG SO-MIN SHOULD NOT BE REPLACED
finale looks so cheap and the teaser is not something to look forward to, they didn’t even give justice to buyeon’s character which also deserves a back story and besides, jung so-min is the better female lead
