Justice Served: Planning to Watch the African Crime Series? Here’s All You Should Know

Looking for a crime show that will excite you, but you want something more? Netflix’s upcoming series Justice Served is the one for you! From themes of racism, politics, crime and the courtroom, this show is a must-watch for you. The plot of the show seems intriguing and the interest only increased after the trailer release. With just six episodes, the show is ready to make a splash.

Directed by the award-winning and well-known Jozua Malherbe, the show stars Hlomla Dandala as a freedom fighter, Azania Maqoma as a military veteran, Morné Visser as Allan Harve who is the man accused of killing a young black man, Pallance Dladla, Alex McGregor, alongside other cast members. The scenes that were seen in the trailer show that the cast has done a wonderful job and this will soon be confirmed with the release of the show.

The plot revolves around a group of people who have invaded a trial of a white police officer who shot a black man, as they have planned to hijack the courtroom. While the situation is screened nationwide, the hijackers get the public to decide if the person accused is a murderer or not. However, this is the beginning of something big as conflicts fill the street and the division of a country, families and friends are at stake.

Justice Served Synopsis

Netflix’s synopsis of the show reads: A band of freedom fighters invade the trial of a white police officer who shot a Black man — and a hostage situation unfolds on screens nationwide.

The series brings out a social issue which has been in society for decades and still prevails as some people just aren’t ready to change. So a group emerges as they cannot take this injustice done to them anymore, and are determined to fight for the right things.

The cast of the series includes Hlomla Dandala playing the role of the freedom fighter, Azania Maqoma as the military veteran, Morné Visser as Allan Harve who is the man accused of killing a young black man, Pallance Dladla, Alex McGregor, Lerato Mvelase, Dineo Rasedile, Panch Gasela and Anton Jeftha.

The six episodes series is set to release on July 29, 2022, on Netflix.
