Happy Birthday Daniel Radcliffe: 3 Upcoming Films We Can’t Wait to Watch

Daniel Radcliffe, born 23 July 1989 is a British actor who is famously known for portraying the role of Harry Potter in the fantasy film franchise. Although the actor turns 33 today, his age always comes as surprise as the image of a teenager Daniel from the same film is stuck in our minds.

But little did you know that he made his acting debut at age of 10 in the BBC One film David Copperfield (1999), followed by his feature film debut in The Tailor of Panama (2001). And in the same year, he starred as Harry Potter in the film adaptation of the J.K. Rowling fantasy novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

Apart from the obvious his career also boasts of other interesting films including The Woman In Black, What If, Swiss Army Man and Now You See Me, Guns Akimbo among others. Recently he played the role of villain in the action-adventure comedy film The Lost City, which was released on 25 March 2022.

The Menu

The Menu is an upcoming dark comedy horror film, which is directed by Mark Mylod and produced by Adam McKay and Betsy Koch through their production banner Hyperobject Industries. The film will follow a young couple who travels to a remote island to eat at an exclusive restaurant where the chef has prepared a lavish menu, with some shocking surprises.

The cast includes Anya Taylor-Joy as Margot, Nicholas Hoult as Tyler, Ralph Fiennes as Chef Slowik, Hong Chau as Elsa, Janet McTeer as Lillian Bloom, Judith Light as Anne, Reed Birney as Richard, Rob Yang as Bryce, Aimee Carrero as Felicity, Paul Adelstein as Lillian’s editor, Arturo Castro as Soren, Mark St. Cyr as Dave, Rebecca Koon as Linda and others.

Daniel Radcliffe is rumoured to be playing himself in the movie, then he might be meeting up with the infamous Voldemort played by Ralph Fiennes, in this film. It will be released on 18 November 2022.

Pinocchio

Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio is an upcoming stop-motion animated musical fantasy film. It is directed by Guillermo del Toro and Mark Gustafson and based on Gris Grimly’s design from his 2002 edition of the 1883 Italian novel The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi. In the film, Daniel Radcliffe is the executive producer.

It stars the voices of Ewan McGregor, David Bradley, Gregory Mann, Finn Wolfhard, Cate Blanchett, John Turturro, Ron Perlman, Tim Blake Nelson, Burn Gorman, Christoph Waltz and Tilda Swinton. It is set to be released in December 2022 on Netflix.

Weird: The Al Yankovic Story

Weird: The Al Yankovic Story is an upcoming biographical comedy film, directed by Eric Appel from a screenplay he co-wrote with the film’s subject, “Weird Al” Yankovic. The film will explore every facet of Yankovic’s life, from his meteoric rise to fame with early hits like ‘Eat It‘ and ‘Like a Surgeon‘ to his torrid celebrity love affairs and famously depraved lifestyle.

The cast of the film includes Daniel Radcliffe as “Weird Al” Yankovic, Evan Rachel Wood as Madonna, Rainn Wilson as Dr Demento, Toby Huss as Nick Yankovic, Al’s father, Julianne Nicholson as Mary Yankovic, Al’s mother and Quinta Brunson as Oprah Winfrey. The film will be streaming on The Roku Channel in the fall of 2022, as an exact release date has not been announced.

He is also set to star as Charley Kringas in an off-Broadway revival of the Stephen Sondheim musical Merrily We Roll Along, to be staged at New York Theatre Workshop in late 2022.
