One of the most beloved K-pop girl groups BLACKPINK has made another new record and the fans have helped them achieve this record! The group has created and broken many records but this is a first-of-its-kind record, by the DDU-DU DDU-DU music video that has been doing this since its release on June 15, 2018.
DDU-DU DDU-DU is the title track of their first mini-album Square Up. It is an addictive song and the main choreography will soon make this your jam as you follow the pistol shooting steps. The song became the most viewed K-pop song of 2018 and the views have never stopped growing. Especially after it hit its one billion views in November 2019, and is now estimated to reach the two billion mark soon.
As reported by Pinkvilla earlier today, their agency YG Entertainment revealed that Blackpink’s DDU-DU DDU-DU crossed 1.9 billion views on YouTube. The girl group has become the first K-pop group to ever achieve this milestone and the second-fastest Korean act to do so. The group has now joined PSY’s Gangnam Style in the list of being the only Korean act to surpass this mark.

BLACKPINK is a South Korean girl group under YG Entertainment and consists of members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. The group debuted on August 8, 2016, with their single album Square One which consists of the songs Whistle and Boombayah. The group became the highest-charting female Korean act on the Billboard Top 100 with Ice Cream. They also became the first girl group to achieve more than a million album copy sales of The Album which was released in 2020.
The group has made many achievements and broken numerous records as of today, becoming one of the biggest K-pop girl groups in the world. They have been acknowledged as one of the most powerful celebrities in South Korea and also by the former South Korean President Moon Jae-in for their work in spreading the K-pop phenomenon across the world.
