Collision: All You Need to Know About Netflix’s Upcoming Crime Thriller

Collision is an upcoming South African crime-thriller film on Netflix, which is set in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The film is directed by award-winning French director Fabien Martorell (known for the films The Guns Story and The Coin). The screenplay is co-written by William Gillin, Fabien Martorell and Sean Cameron Michael. The story follows the life of a man racing against time to save his family from the trap of a powerful criminal.

The film has a runtime of about 1 hour and 39 minutes and will be available in the English language. The film is produced by Citizen Skull Productions along with Connect Channel and Do Productions. It will feature a stellar cast that is known names in the African industry. The film will deal with the topics of racism and prejudices within the communities.

The cast includes Vuyo Dabula in the lead role as Bra Sol, Langley Kirkwood as Johan Greser, Tessa Jubber as Diane Greser, Bonko Khoza as Larry, Mpho Sebeng as Thando, Zoey Sneedon as Nicki Greser, Siphesihle Vazi as Cecil, Samke Makhoba as Palesa, Pheello Kotelo, Thamsanqa Booi and Louis Ngcayiya.

Collision Film Plot/Synopsis

The official Netflix synopsis of the film reads as – Over the course of one fateful day, a corrupt businessman and his socialite wife race to save their daughter from a notorious crime lord. The film is set on the eve of a post-apartheid Freedom Day celebration when a multi-car pile-up in downtown Johannesburg sees an army veteran and a housewife’s daughter trapped in the trunk of a notorious gangster car.

In another part of town, a shop owner plans out a perfect life with his perfect daughter but he is unaware that his daughter is actually hiding a huge secret from him that would lead to life-altering consequences for him and the family. In Collision, their worlds are bound to collide as nothing is as it seems to the eye.
