By helping out Sorcerer General Shutina and supporting Lily in logistics in the previous episodes, Black Knight Onyx is growing popular amongst the residents of the Demon Castle. As it has become evident from the episodes of Yuusha Yamemasu to date, real-world corporate life problems are weaved into the anime story. Armed with various plans, ex-hero Leo is an over-achiever going into his lion’s den. After trying to use his various plans one after another in his meeting with Echidna, he is admired even more by her. But he is still not able to get out safely!

This episode of I’m Quitting Heroing shows various tricks one can use to escape their boss! It also portrays how everyone in the work hierarchy, from the bottom to the top, is just doing their work. This work is not all that defines them. It plays a big part of them, but their dreams, aspirations, and reasons are also important and make them relatable. Leo had no idea of what is the true motivation behind Queen Echidna’s attack, although he knew the demon army was not trying to harm humans. This episode built a base of trust between Leo and Echidna, and it is going to grow stronger with time.

I’m Quitting Heroing Episode 4 had some crisp animation and dialogues. Especially the background art stood out. From Leo’s nightmare to Echidna’s dreams, both were lucidly delivered. The shift of tone from dark to cheerful yet stressful to real talk was executed smoothly. This episode did not progress much in terms of the story but introduced Echidna as one of the main characters. Her back story is quite simple yet is compelling. The opening theme song resonated with the flow of the show with an overarching nightmarish theme.
