Chris Evans Warns Fans About Fake Social Media Handles, Here’s What Went Wrong

Marvel’s Captain America, Chris Evans is a fan favourite. The actor’s acting credits, humility and grace, everything is endearing and, it is often enough the man ends up going viral on social media for the weirdest of reasons. Previously, the actor had unknowingly shared an inappropriate picture of himself on Instagram while trying to figure out the app. Even though fans made sure the actor’s privacy remains protected, this time around it seems like a different ballgame.

The Knives Out actor has a following of over 15 million on Twitter and 14 million on Instagram. Given his fanbase, it becomes easier for hackers and shady people to get the advantage of the Marvel star’s loyal and supportive followers. Recently, scammers have been attempting to take advantage of Chris Evans’ fans by sending them direct messages and requests for money, which are false and distasteful.

Standing tall in these circumstances, Evans shared a tweet revealing how all the demands for money are from fake accounts and, warned his fans to stay safe from these perilous people.

The tweet has received over 2k replies, with some of the fans even sharing screenshots of the harassment they have to go through. Some have received messages from scammers claiming that they are Chris Evans and, asking for money because of being mugged whereas, some scammers made the texts look like the fans have to make payment for an opportunity to meet Evans. Coming clean on what is happening, it is safe to say that all of these requests and DMs are completely fake.

Meanwhile, Chris Evans was seen in a cameo role in the 2021 film Free Guy and, also in an uncredited cameo in Netflix’s Don’t Look Up. We are going to see him next as Llyod Hansen in Netflix’s upcoming action thriller The Gray Man.
