The Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation Episode 10 Review- Another War?

Zeletia The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt Episode 10

It was adorable that Wein trusted Felania enough to handle such a huge task independently. Still, one must admit that the Prince’s escapes are becoming more coincidental and unrealistic. Things are still far from jumping the shark, and these escapes have cemented Wein’s position as a guy who can solve any problem that’s in front of him. The show began with the premise of him having the wits to utilise what was in front of him and make good in a bad situation while still trying to serve his own means and sell his kingdom. Wein has truly grown a lot from his humble beginnings.

There have also been remarkably few consequences of Wein killing a king in his own kingdom and fleeing the country. Granted, the kingdom was already in deep trouble, and Wein did have to escape by utilising the help of Lowa’s soldiers, but a King’s death at the hands of another should have consequences beyond getting chased for a small distance. Why would any other king ever deal with Wein, let alone invite him into their kingdom? In their eyes, who is to stop Wein from killing them on his trip and escaping again?

At least, in the current arc, Wein isn’t the one who’s at fault for anything, and all he did was find a way to let the merchants escape with their lives. However, his troubles weren’t over yet, as he had to find a way to return the region to the merchants without it being under siege by the Empire’s forces. Wein’s plans for this issue made a ton of sense, especially once the religious zealots of Levetia were factored into the conversation. The good thing about Wein is that his plans are always believable as being cooked up by him, and they almost always work.

Notice the use of almost in that sentence, since The Genius Prince’s Guide Season 10 was also an episode where Wein got a reality check. The latest arc the show has set upon is quite interesting in that it combines everything Wein has done so far and puts it all against Wein. Not only is his military acumen put to the test, but his personal and romantic conquests as well. Princess Zenobia proves to be a fearsome opponent. Her conversations with Wein in this episode are enlightening and very well written, which brings us to another point.

The dialogue in Genius Prince Episode 10, and the series in general, is one of its best elements. It is extremely snappy, natural, and flows really well, especially if the characters have a little rapport built in between them. The best example of this is the conversations between Wein and Ninym, who feel like a couple who has been married for 50 years and is still going strong. Wein’s interactions with Zenobia in the latest outing were also a great example of the same.

Verdict

The Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt Episode 10 was a good episode that ended one arc and moved forward to another, with a lot of good content in between.
