Batgirl: New Set Pics Reveal the Return of Michael Keaton’s Batman

The upcoming Batgirl film marks the return of Michael Keaton’s legendary Batman and, fans have been waiting to see how the modernisation of the old look would turn out to be.  Directed by Ms. Marvel’s Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the screenplay for the film is written by Christina Hodson, who is known for her work in films like Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), and the upcoming The Flash movie.

The film stars Leslie Grace in the titular role as Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl. The other cast members include J. K. Simmons and Brendan Fraser, Ivory Aquino and, of course, Keaton. Actors Jacob Scipio, Rebecca Front, Corey Johnson, and Ethan Kai have also been cast in undisclosed roles. Previously, set pictures revealed the look for J.K Simmons’ Commissioner James Gordon and, also the murals for Batman and Robin. However, the recent updates from the set have us excited more than ever!

It is the return of the Batman we have all loved and admired over the years. We have seen Keaton star in the 1989 Batman film and, its sequel in 1992. The actor is now going to be back in his iconic role in two upcoming DC projects- Batgirl and The Flash. Let us take a look at his new avatar below.

Batgirl: Keaton Returns As Batman

The upcoming DC film shows Keaton as the Dark Knight of the Burtonverse after he has had a run-in with Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen aka The Flash. We will see Keaton be a mentor to Leslie Grace’s Batgirl in the latest project.

The Batgirl film will be streaming on HBO Max later in 2022, whereas The Flash will get a theatrical release on November 4, 2022.
