Love is Blind Season 2 (2022) Review: Will Love Be Enough?

Love is Blind is a reality dating TV series hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey. Love is Blind season 2 has 10 episodes, each with a runtime of around 50 minutes.

Netflix describes the series as:

Nick and Vanessa Lachey host this social experiment where single men and women look for love and get engaged, all before meeting in person.

Ah, we’re here again. Another season of social experiment has me reeling this week, with the Japan version also coming out just a few days ago. Either way, I think I am ready to watch anything at this point and I would find it entertaining. The bar is pretty low here… I am joking.

Or am I?

Jokes aside, Love is Blind season 2 has some seriously attractive people there. The gameplay is the same – a bunch of single men and women “date” and get engaged without seeing each other. They fall in love with each other’s personalities and then decide whether they will walk down the aisle with that person in the next month. The thought’s scary but these people are all ready to get with this experiment and hope to spend the rest of their lives together.

Last season’s couples – Amber & Barnett and Lauren and Cameron are still together by the looks of their Instagrams. The others, well, not so much. So, will some of these people this season find true love?

This season, we have more meaningful conversations. I feel like these people have more to them than “quirky”. I like their emotional conversations, funny witty quips and the way their interactions flow. It doesn’t feel made up or scripted. Yes, I am realistic and know some of it is definitely scripted. But even then, it feels relatable and genuine. Except, of course, getting engaged in 4 days to a stranger.

So, the cringe in Love is Blind season 2 is high as ever. We know what we are getting into, but holy heck the cringe in this season is so high. There’s this one couple, and I am not naming who because that would be a spoiler, who just do the cringiest things the moment they meet. Either way, the drama is high and people who really love it for the entertainment factor of it will enjoy it very much. Love triangles aside, there are some interesting conversations here that will keep your mouth gaping.

Summing up: Love is Blind Season 2

Love is Blind season 2 is just so cringy. Yet, there’s something fun and relatable in the conversations here. We all know what we were getting into after watching Love is Blind: After the Altar. But either way, the conversations and the process are entertaining and full of drama. It’s great content for the reality TV enthusiasts that we all are.

Love is Blind season 2 is streaming on Netflix.

REVIEW OVERVIEW

Overall

SUMMARY

Love is Blind season 2 has more of the same thing. But it's always great to get a dose of reality TV, especially when people marry without seeing each other.

  1. I also thought it looked staged. And what happed to a couple weeks of girls that were in the first 2 episodes. They just disappeared without any explanation

  2. Boring and unattractive people with equally unattractive personalities. They struck gold with the first season and should have not renewed the show.
