The Morning Show Season 2 Episode 6 Review: Is it Worth Anymore?

The Morning Show Season 2 Episode 6 is called ‘A Private Person’. Directed by Rachel Morrison, Torrey Speet and Stacy Osei-Kuffour wrote the latest episodes. The series stars Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee, Desean Terry and Julianna Margulies.

The synopsis for today’s episode reads, “TMS welcomes a new face. Bradley gets a surprise visit.”

The Morning Show Season 2 Episode 6 Review Contains Mild Spoilers

After the terrible back pain Alex Levy (Jennifer Aniston) had in the previous episode, she takes a break from work. We don’t see her at all in today’s episode. However, different kinds of drama still happen in the TMS office. Cory (Billy Crudup) leaks the information about Bradley-Laura’s (Reese Witherspoon and Julianna Margulies) relationship to cover up the Fred Micklen issue. Daniel (Desean Terry) questions Peter Bullard (Dave Foley) about a problematic remark he once made on air.

Everyone is waiting for Alex to return, but no one, including Chip (Mark Duplass), can convince her to come back. Maggie Brener’s unreleased book has really scared the sh*t out of one of the most popular TV news anchors! All that expensive, big public launch goes waste as UBA promised Alex, but she’s nowhere. They decide to bring in Laura as a temporary The Morning Show co-host alongside Bradley. But with the news leak about their relationship, the situation gets messier.

Drama after drama, problems after problems, subplots after subplots are piling up in The Morning Show Season 2. The last 2 episodes were a disappointment, and the latest one makes it to the list. The writers are still not making a point about what they really want to highlight this time. From racism to sexuality to COVID-19 to Alex’s never-ending panic mode, a little dose of everything is hardly impactful.

However, the dialogue exchange between Bradley-Laura and Bradley-Cory were good. The lines make a lot of sense, especially when people’s personal lives are exposed without their consent.

The Morning Show Season 2 Review: Final Thoughts

Overall, today’s episode didn’t do much for the plot. We knew Cory was going to leak the information, and Bradley would freak out. So why waste an entire episode showcasing it? No wonder Alex couldn’t take any of the mess and decided to disappear without informing anyone. I can safely say that the second season has failed to astonish us with a solid story. It’s noisy, messy, and out of control, like the newsroom in TMS.

The Morning Show Season 2 Episode 6 is now streaming on Apple TV+.
