BLACKPINK’s Lisa Has Officially Broken Guinness World Records With “LALISA”

BLACKPINK’s Lisa recently launched her solo debut track “LALISA” which has been ruling global charts ever since. In fact, the music video had gained around 5.4 million views only a few hours after its release. Later, it was on the top of the iTunes charts and it was known for sure that sooner or later “LALISA” would be breaking some records. The music video was released on September 10, 2021, and depicts the different versions of Lisa with some scintillating visuals.

BLACKPINK’s Lisa Sets New World Records

On October 8, Guinness World Records announced the official recognition of two records recently broken and set anew by Lisa from BLACKPINK through her solo debut track “LALISA.”

YouTube had previously confirmed that “LALISA” had broken the world record for “the most-viewed YouTube music video by a solo artist in 24 hours.” Within the first 24 hours, the music video for “LALISA” racked up an impressive number of about 73.6 million views. This cleared the previous record of 65.2 million views set by Taylor Swift for her 2019 song “ME!” featuring Brendon Urie from Panic! at the Disco.

The music video also became the “most-viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a solo K-pop artist” and set a new record, smashing the previous one of 41.6 million views set by BLACKPINK’ Rosé for her solo debut track “On The Ground.”

Soompi reports that Guinness World Records also stated: “[BLACKPINK’s] recent success also means that the band features inside the ‘Guinness World Records 2022’ book within the social media section.”
