Dying to Marry Him is a romantic-thriller movie directed by Rod Roberts and stars Anna Marie Dobbins, Nathan Kehn, Andrea Hickey and Lisa Davis, alongside other cast members. The movie is 88 minutes long.

No longer recognizable, Amy returns to her hometown and becomes the wedding planner for her first love with her mind set on getting him back no matter what the cost.

As sad as it is to say, I think I now have a thing for Lifetime movies. They are almost always pretty bad but here we are. Anyway, we have Anna Marie Dobbins again as soon-to-be bride Macy. Her husband has a stalker, Amy, who is now their wedding coordinator.
I am going to keep the Dying to Marry Him review short because, with a title such as that, you know what you’re getting into. The movie, from the first minute, is difficult to take seriously. The dubbing and the acting are atrocious. Amy, played by Andrea Hickey, is just so bad that it’s difficult to watch her looking like a war-era wife out to do some bad things. No seriously, she looks like a Disney villain. Her dialogue delivery is so bad that it hurts my ears. No one should be subjected to this mess.
Moving on, Anna Marie Dobbins and Nathan Kehn aren’t any better although I’d say Dobbins is the best of the lot – do what you will with that information! Moreover, the dialogues are just so bad, just so poorly written, that there is no thrill. The scenes are shoddily shot and the more you watch it, the more amusing it gets. Early on, Amy takes out a gun with a silencer, pew-pews an ex-flame and the way the guy falls into the pool is just amazing.
Dying to Marry Him does not have any substance to hold the audience’s attention. The story and the acting are both flat and the supporting actors are just absolutely horrible. As the movie progresses, I waited for something to come up that would have a positive impact on my viewing experience. However, nothing like that happens. It’s not like the story is new, so there’s no thrill waiting in that corner. We have seen the trope of the jealous ex-lover trying to stalk and “win over” the guy. Unfortunately for this movie though, the pacing is just so slow that at 88 minutes, the film is just too slow.

It is additionally annoying that Jeff takes forever to recognize Amy, someone whom he was so close to, even after she says that she knows him from somewhere. Thus, you are just sitting there scratching your head, feeling your brain cells just wasting away. Moreover, the music and the editing are just so bad. The score is annoying at best and the movie looks hazy and cuts off at odd intervals.
Summing up: Dying to Marry Him
Dying to Marry Him is a movie that you should not watch, and if you do, keep in mind that this is not going to add any value to your life. If anything, you’re in for a cringe-fest with no respite in sight.
