Hostel, Friendship, and Memories!

-Hostel Daze Season 2 review has minor spoilers –

Back in 2019 when Hostel Daze Season 1 premiered on the OTT platform audiences loved it. It was another TVF creation that managed to induced laughter and nostalgia seamlessly with lovable characters. Coming back with its Season 2, Hostel Daze again taps into hostel and college life nostalgia with its funny and quirky storyline and dialogue that bind everything together perfectly.

While Season 1 was focused on college stress and examination, Hostel Daze Season 2 is more rooted in hostel life and the emotional importance it has in these students life. The series starts with the now seniors ragging the fresh batch and eventually transitions into a story of love, friendship, and more. It’s a nice journey to follow and a funny one too. If you’re someone who has lived in a hostel during their college days then the series will definitely make you feel nostalgic- the mesh food, going back home, on and off bickering, and more.

Hostel Daze Season 2 is an enjoyable series but don’t watch it with the expectation of getting something new. If you’re someone who watches TVF series and videos, you will find a lot of similar elements throughout the series in terms of both plotline and characters. The series is 4 episodes long with each episode about 30-minutes long which works as a plus point for the series as it does not unnecessarily extend the entire series. 4 short quality episodes, that’s it!

In terms of its characters, Nikhil Vijay as Jhantoo is definitely hilarious and his vocabulary might as well stick with you. Adarsh Gourav as Ankit aka Dopa is a sweet and likeable character, you can call him the chocolate boy of the lot. Shubham Gaur as Rupesh Bhati aka Jaat and Luv as Chirag Bansal are two polar opposite characters but you’ll like them nonetheless. And then there is TVF OG Ahsaas Channa as Akanksha aka Akku, I am a fan of channa, she is flawless on-screen, her characters are well-suited and drawn out, it’s the best!

Summing up, Hostel Daze Season 2 is a good series that’ll tap into your hostel days nostalgia and make you laugh! If you’re planning to watch it with your family, you might wanna skip that because of all the hostel “gaali’s.”
