Tom Hiddleston To Be The Next James Bond? Loki Actor Answers

Tom Hiddleston has got all his fans worldwide excited for his upcoming MCU show, Loki. Fans love him as the God of Mischief and can’t wait to see what Marvel has to offer with the Disney+ show. After a long time, the actor will be seen onscreen. Amid all this, reports were going around that he will be the next James Bond.

If you are not aware, actor Daniel Craig will play the 007 detective for the last time in No Time To Die. Since then, many names have popped up to play the next James Bond – Henry Cavill, Tom Hardy, Idris Elba, and Tom Hiddleston. In a recent interview, the Avengers: Infinity War actor was asked about the same.

In an interview with Empire magazine, Tom was asked if the rumours of him being the next 007 are true or not. The actor gives a confusing answer which neither confirms nor denies the rumours. The Loki star said, “What can I say that you don’t already know? It’s interesting in itself that I’ve suddenly become very aware of what I’m saying, is it not? Because there’s something about what I’m saying that becomes the story. Not for you, but the world outside. Whatever I say, I’ve found, generated more questions.”

Tom Hiddleston also got candid about his upcoming MCU show. He said, “(Loki’s) progression to antagonist has a lot of vulnerability and pain inside it, so that even by the end of Thor when Loki is the villain, the audience could see that it had come from a very poignant well of heartbreak and loneliness and confusion.”

“The trailer shows a face-to-face with the Time Variance Authority. The TVA. An organization that governs the order of time. Pretty big institution. Substantial responsibility to make sure that time unfolds according to pre-determined lines. So you have an institution that represents order and a character that represents chaos. Therein begins the drama.” added Tom Hiddleston.

Kate Herron directed Loki and Michael Waldron was the head-writer. Along with Tom Hiddleston, the show also stars Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Richard E. Grant, Sasha Lane and Wunmi Mosaku. The story is set after his escape in Avengers: Endgame during the time heist in New York 2012. Loki is all set to release on June 11, 2021, on the Disney+ channel. Just like WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, fans will get to watch one episode every Friday on the streaming platform.

Talking about Daniel Craig’s No Time To Die, the film is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and also stars Rami Malek, Léa Seydoux and Ana de Armas. The film is slated to release in October this year. The film was supposed to release last year in April. However, it got delayed due to the pandemic.
