7 Women and a Murder Ending Explained
As the investigation unfolds, it becomes clear that each of the women had a motive for wanting the man dead. However, none of them had the guts to execute the same. As the conversation between the women starts to get deeper, they begin to uncover certain secrets about each other.
Notably, Margherita reveals her affair with another man, and Sussana comes out with her pregnancy news and a lot of other innate details. While the rest of them mention that they were present inside the room at different intervals, where Marcello eventually died.
This series of confessions lead to more intrigue in the whodunnit mystery and ultimately ends on an unexpected note. The evidence put forward by Maria and Caterina suggests that the man’s death may not have been a murder at all. It turns out that the man, who was in failing health and facing financial troubles, had faked his own death in order to ensure that his wealth would be distributed to the person he believed most deserving of it.
The man’s daughter, who was initially thought to be a victim, was in fact the one who helped him carry out the plan. She had discovered that her mother was cheating on her father with somebody else, and in a fit of rage, she agreed to help him fake his own death in order to punish the rest of the women.

In the end, all the women charge up to Marcello’s room, only to discover that he has finally committed suicide. And is dead for real. The scene immediately changes to a crime spot, where all the ladies reveal the relevant information to the detective while filtering out the unnecessary details.
The story serves as a cautionary tale about the dangers of jealousy and the lengths that people will go to in order to protect what they believe is rightfully theirs. It also highlights the importance of trust and communication in relationships, as the man’s infidelity and his family’s greed made him fake his own death, and played a significant role in the events that unfolded.
