59th Baeksang Arts Awards 2023 Reactions: Park Eun-bin’s Emotional Daesang Win; Fans Call Son Seok-ku the Ultimate Scene Stealer

59th Baeksang Arts Awards 2023 Reactions can’t stop feeling absolutely proud and emotional for the grand Daesang winner, Park Eun-bin. Winning for her role in the K-drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo, the actress reflected on her long career, having started as a child actor to being the lead in a popular drama.

Hosted by the MC Shin Dong-yup, singer and actress Bae Suzy, and popular actor Park Bo-gum, the event was held at Incheon Paradise City to recognise the best talents in various categories like film, television, and theatre. Anticipation was high for popular films and TV shows to take away all the top prizes, which they did & even other films like The Night Owl took home several wins.

One of the best moments to come out of the award ceremony is how both The Glory actresses, Lim Ji-yeon and Song Hye-kyo won in the categories they were nominated for & recalled the famous dialogues from the show, that have been going viral on social media platforms. Hye-kyo taunted her onscreen antagonist, Ji-yeon, by showing that even she won an award (like Ji-yeon’s character did in the show).

Another scene stealer was definitely the cast of My Liberation Notes, as fans screamed in joy to see the leading couple together once again. Contrary to his character in the drama, Son Seok-ku was equally delighted by the cheers and gave the most adorable fan service. Even during the show, he always stole the scene whenever the camera was on him. In fact, his known friend & colleague, Ma Dong-seok didn’t shy away from showing off his cute side.

As for the Daesang winner, congratulations have been pouring in for Park Eun-bin, calling it a well-deserved win. This also increases the anticipation for the second part of the drama which will explore the further events when her biological mother’s identity is finally revealed. She thanked all the cast members and the crew for making such a great show that helped her shine in the best way possible.

Other winners like GOT7’s Park Jin-young won the best new actor award for his role in the movie Christmas Carol and which definitely means much more to him & the fans alike, as he will be enlisting in the military soon.

Also, Roh Yoon-seo from Crash Course in Romance also received the best-deserved recognition for her role & the senior actors from the drama couldn’t stop smiling looking at her win. The movie Decision to Leave also took away most awards, however, a few viewers expected K-drama Little Women to be the front-runner as well but only managed to bag an award for the art direction.
