What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim

This 2018 Korean drama has to be the first one. It was a huge Hallyu hit and Park Min-young and Park Seo-joon won many awards for their roles. This drama is based on the webtoon of the same name by Jung Kyung-joon. Park Seo-joon plays Lee Young-joon, an ambitious and disciplined CEO of the company who is also a narcissist. His secretary Kim Mi-so has been working with his difficult personality for nine years and when she resigns, Young-joon tries all the tactics to get her to stay and in the process, they fall in love with each other.

Sungkyunkwan Scandal

Based on the novel, Sungkyunkwan Confucian Scholars, this 2010 drama takes us back in history when women were not allowed to get an education or employment. In such an era, Kim Yoon-hee dresses up as her brother and does many odd jobs to make a living for her family. She gets into the Sungkyunkwan University where all the scholars of the country study but she has to face many struggles to keep her identity a secret from all the men. The drama also features Yoo Ah-in, Song Joong-ki and Park Yoo-chun.

Her Private Life

Her Private Life is based on the Korean Novel, Noona Fan Dot Com by Kim Sung-yeon. Sung Deok-mi is an art curator at Cheum Art Museum but also runs a fansite called SiNaGil for her favourite artist Cha Si-an. Ryan Gold is her boss and director of the art museum who has developed a syndrome which made him retire as an artist. When Deok-mi gets into a dating scandal with Si-an, Ryan Gold and she pretend to be in a relationship to save Deok-mi from the rumours. As they spend time together, Ryan and Deok-mi fall in love with each other.

When the Weather is Fine

Based on the novel of the same name, this 2020 drama features Park Min-young and Seo Kang-joon in lead roles. Mok Hae-won is a cellist who leaves Seoul after being unemployed. She goes to the village of Bookhyun where she lived when she was in high school. Im Eun-seob is her high school classmate and now her neighbour who owns a bookstore in the village. They fall in love and help each other heal the wounds in their hearts.

This 2015 action thriller, gave both Park Min-young and Ji Chang-wook international stardom. Ji Chang-wook plays the role of Seo Jung-hu who works as a night courier and is known as Healer. He is known to be the best in his field and can do anything except murder. A big news reporter gives him the task of finding and protecting Chae Young-shin. After he finds her, the three of them get into a battle of truth and in the process Jung-hu and Young-shin end up falling in love.
