2024 Seoul Music Awards in Bangkok: Full Lineup and Other Important Details to Keep an Eye on

As one of the first K-pop music shows kicking off the new year, the 2024 Seoul Music Awards in Bangkok will be held on January 2, 2024, at the Rajamangala National Stadium in Thailand, making it the first time for the show to be taking place outside of South Korea. With Bangkok as the home ground for this year’s ceremony, audience can also expect special Thai guest to join the otherwise rather predominant gathering of K-pop idols. Organised by Sports Seoul and Seoul Music Awards Organising Committee, the event will be hosted by Lee Seun-gi, GOT7’s BamBam and Youngjae, and Tiffany Young.

The nominees were rolled out on November 5, 2023, and some of them have been listed below. Among the great highlights of the highly anticipated awards show, the special reunion of GOT7 members remains to be one of the most awaited feats. 2024 Seoul Music Awards Lineup

The full lineup of attendees for the Seoul Gayo Daesang includes, actors Lee Joon-gi and Park Shin-ye. Musicians’ attendance sheet lists down GOT7’s Mark Tuan, Sandara Park, Sunmi, NCT DREAM, RIIZE, ZEROBASEONE, Kang Daniel, Yuju, Young Tak, DAY6’s Young K, STAYC, Billlie, NMIXX, KISS OF LIFE, n.SSign, Xdinary Heroes, Dynamic Duo, and JAM REPUBLIC, along with the four aforementioned MCs of the night. Additionally, as per the confirmed special Thai lineup, actor-singer NuNew, actor ZeePruk, and Midnight Series: Moonlight Chicken and My School President co-actors, Gemini and Fourth will also be present at the venue.

UPDATE (January 2): Mark Tuan’s appearance at the SMA 2024 ceremony has been cancelled.

2024 Seoul Music Awards Special Stage Performances

A GOT7 special stage has also been teased. This performance will bring together the three attending members of the group as they will reportedly be representing the 3rd generation of K-pop through their presentation. Moreover, another report has revealed that 2nd generation K-pop divas, Sunmi (former Wonder Girls member), Tiffany (SNSD/Girls’ Generation) and Sandara Park (former 2NE1 member) are likely to join forces for yet another special stage collaboration, titled, “Rivals”.

Where to Watch Seoul Music Awards 2024

Unfortunately, the official website hasn’t listed the broadcasting channels yet. (to be updated) The ceremony will commence at 6 PM (local time) or 8 PM KST, whereas the red carpet will reportedly begin at 4 PM (local time). Last year’s event was live streamed on U+Idol Live.

UPDATE: The live stream, as stated on the SMA website, will only be broadcasted on the Japanese paid FOD (Fuji TV on Demand) platform. The Korean broadcast recording will be on KBS N later in January.
