The Princess Switch

Starring Vanessa Hudgens in a double role, the movie takes place one week before Christmas. Margaret, the gorgeous Duchess of Montenaro, switches places with Stacy, a commoner from Chicago, who looks exactly like her. With the assistance of a magical Santa helper, Margaret falls in love with Stacy’s handsome co-worker, while Stacy falls in love with Margaret’s fiance, the dashing Prince.

There are 2 more flicks in this franchise, The Princess Switch: Switched Again and The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star. All the movies are available to watch on Netflix.

A Prince for Christmas

In this movie, a prince from Europe meets a charming waitress when he travels to America during the Christmas holiday to escape an arranged marriage. Starring Viva Bianca as Emma and Kirk Barker as Prince Duncan, it is complemented by many viewers for the beautiful visuals which were shot in East Aurora.

A Christmas Prince

Starring Rose McIver, Ben Lamb, Alice Krige and Honor Kneafsey, this movie also has two sequels titled A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding and A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby.

The Prince & Me is a 2004 romantic comedy film directed by Martha Coolidge and starring Julia Stiles as Paige Morgan, Luke Mably as Edvard and Ben Miller, with Miranda Richardson and others. At college, Paige meets Eddie, a student from Denmark, who proves to be Crown Prince Edvard.

She is shocked to learn that the guy she’s fallen for is actually a prince, and things are complicated further when the king abdicates – forcing her new love to take to the throne. Crown for Christmas

After getting fired from her job as a maid at a ritzy New York City hotel, Allie reluctantly accepts a temp gig as the governess to a young girl who is part of a powerful family in Europe that lives in an actual castle. After arriving, Allie learns the girl is named Princess Theodora and her father is Maximillian, the King of Winshire.

The King informs Allie that the Princess has a tendency to terrorize authority figures, a predilection that has grown worse since her mother’s death. Yet governess and Princess wind up hitting it off while at the same time a spark forms between Allie and Max. However, Countess Celia is expecting to wed the King. Will Max take a stand for his feelings for Allie and make it truly a merry Christmas for all?

A Royal Winter

Royal Hearts

Royal Hearts is not exactly a Christmas-themed movie but a fun and heartwarming one that shouldn’t be missed. The story follows Kelly, a hopeless romantic in Montana eager to finish her dissertation, and her father, Hank, a rancher, receives news that he has inherited an estate from a faraway land.

When they travel there, they discover that Hank has not only inherited the estate but the title that goes along with it – KING! It stars James Brolin as Hank Pavlik, Cindy Busby as Kelly Pavlik, and Andrew Cooper as Alex, Kelly’s love interest. Watch it on Amazon Prime Video.
