Divorce Attorney Shin

It (신성한, 이혼) is a Korean courtroom drama series, co-directed by Lee Jae-hoon and Lim Jun-hyuk. The screenplay is written by Yoo Young-ah and it has been adapted from the webtoon of the same name by Kang Tae-kyung, which was published from 10 September 2019 to 31 August 2021 by Kakao. Starring Cho Seung-woo, Han Hye-jin, Kim Sung-kyun and Jung Moon-sung.

The K-drama follows Shin Sung-han who majored in piano and became a professor at a music university in Germany. However, something tragic happens and he is urged to come back to South Korea and starts working on becoming a lawyer. And not just any lawyer but especially a divorce lawyer, due to the reasons that are related to the tragedy. He is also joined by his childhood friends – Jang Hyeong-geun and Jo Jeong-sik who call themselves 40-year-old youths.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo

Extraordinary Attorney Woo (이상한 변호사 우영우) is a legal Korean series directed by Yoo In-shik and written by Moon Ji-won, starring Park Eun-bin, Kang Tae-oh, Kang Ki-young, Baek Ji-won, alongside other cast members.

The Korean series revolves around an attorney who has autism spectrum disorder as she deals with her life at one of the top law firms. While she finds it hard to present herself in a social situation, she takes up new cases and solves them in her own peculiar way.

Law School

Starring Kim Myung-min, Kim Bum, Ryu Hye-young, and Lee Jung-eun, the story is set in Hankuk University Law School where when one of the professors is found dead, everyone becomes a suspect overnight. As a group of students unravel this unusual case, they discover a web of unsettling secrets where a main suspect emerges – a professor who isn’t anyone’s favourite in particular.

One Dollar Lawyer

One Dollar Lawyer (천원짜리 변호사) is a Korean legal drama series directed by Kim Jae-hyun, starring Namkoong Min, Kim Ji-eun, Choi Dae-hoon, Lee Deok-hwa, Park Jin-woo and Lee Chung-ah alongside other cast members. 

it depicts the story of an unusual lawyer who only charges one dollar as his fee to help all the people who have been trodded down by injustice. Whether someone is wrongly accused or doesn’t have the means to stand up for themselves, the legal hero Chun Ji-hoon turns up to help everyone.

Stranger

Stranger stars Cho Seung-woo,Bae Doona, Jeon Hye-jin, Choi Mu-sung and others in this high-tension legal drama. The drama follows Jung Ryeo-won as Ma Yi-deum, a lawyer who will do anything to win her case, be it forging or tampering with evidence or inciting perjury. But when she is sent to the special task force for sex crimes, along with a newbie lawyer played by Yoon Hyun-min as Yeo Jin-wook, she is urged to find true justice for all the people who went through such heinous crimes.

Starring Lee Joon-gi & Seo Ye-ji in the lead, along with Lee Hye-young, and Choi Min-soo, this Korean law drama follows the story of a lawless city which is tackled by equally lawless attorneys. Motivated by their personal vendetta, the two leads who have opposite ideologies regarding the law, join hands only to take on the corrupt judge Cha Moon-sook and her associates. The judge has been the cause of personal tragedies in both lead’s life thus they grow up seeking the law’s help & turning it into their own weapon to get revenge.

Ms Hammurabi

Ms Hammurabi sheds light on the inner workings of the judicial system in Korea and the challenges judges face daily, highlighting the importance of empathy, compassion, and understanding in delivering justice. The show follows the story of Park Cha Oh-reum, a passionate and idealistic judge who can’t turn her eyes from injustice.

She is joined by two other judges, Im Ba-reun, a former prosecutor, and Han Se-sang, a veteran judge with years of experience. Together, the three judges navigate the complex legal system, tackle various cases that test their moral compass and challenge their beliefs. As they preside over the cases, the judges must also confront their inner demons and overcome their own biases and prejudices.

The drama stars Go Ara, Kim Myung-soo, and Sung Dong-il as the main characters. Watch it on Viki.

My Lawyer, Mr Joe (동네변호사 조들호)

Based on the Korean webtoon of the same name by Hatzling aka Kim Yang-soo, the drama stars Park Shin-yang, Kang So-ra, Ryu Soo-young, Park Sol-mi and many others. The story follows Jo Deul-ho, who used to be the best and rising prosecutor in the country until he tries to report the corruption he witnessed in his own firm.

The higher authority wanting to save face throws Deul-ho under the bus, and so his career plummets due to the crime he never commits. A few years later, he meets Lee Eun-jo, a rookie attorney who works for the law firm run by Jo Deul-Ho’s ex-father-in-law and tries to find justice for himself.
