When You Finish Saving The World Trailer: Julianne Moore and Finn Wolfhard Present the Modern Family Relationship

When You Finish Saving The World Trailer has been released by A24, starring Julianne Moore and Finn Wolfhard as the mother-son duo. It is a coming-of-age comedy-drama film, which is written and directed by Jesse Eisenberg. It also marks his feature directorial debut and the film is based on Eisenberg’s 2020 audio drama of the same name.

It is produced by Dave McCary, Emma Stone and Ali Herting. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year on January 20 and received mostly positive reviews, making it a highly anticipated film; especially coming from the studio behind Moonlight, Lady Bird, The Witch, Eight Grade, Hereditary & more.

The official synopsis of the film reads, “Evelyn and her oblivious son Ziggy seek out replacements for each other as Evelyn desperately tries to parent an unassuming teenager at her shelter, while Ziggy fumbles through his pursuit of a brilliant young woman at school.”

The cast of the film includes Julianne Moore as Evelyn Katz, Finn Wolfhard as Ziggy Katz, Alisha Boe as Lila, Jay O. Sanders as Roger Katz, Billy Bryk as Kyle, and Eleonore Hendricks as Angie. The trailer starts off with Ziggy asking his mom, Evelyn if she can drive him to school today and asks for 5 seconds.

Here we get an idea about what kind of person Evelyn is, as she only waits for 5 seconds, while looking at her watch and walks out of the door, leaving Ziggy. On the other hand, Ziggy likes a girl named Lila and agrees to everything that she says, without even understanding what she is even talking about.

But mind you, he is not a dumb guy, Ziggy has his own talents – like singing and even garnered 20k followers by live streaming. However, the mother-son duo do not understand each other and what they’re up to in their lives. While Evelyn is helping a family, she feels even more distant from her own son, who seems to live in his own bubble. By the end of the trailer, we see her trying to connect with him, but is it too late or will they come around each other?
