Aakhri Sach Episode 6/Final Episode Review

Aakhri Sach Episode 6 is now out. The Disney+ Hotstar crime show stars Tamannaah Bhatia, Abhishek Banerjee, Shivin Narang, Danish Iqbal, Rahul Bagga, Kriti Vij, Sanjeev Chopra, Nishu Dikshit and others.

Directed by Robbie Grewal, the last episode is titled 'Final Countdown: Sadhana'. The series is based on Delhi's 2018 Burari Deaths, where 11 members of the Chundawat family were found dead inside the house.

Aakhri Sach Episode 6 Short Recap

In the last episode, Anshika and Aman get engaged a few days before the family dies. Bhuvan tells the family members about the "Akshay Sadhana" ritual, where they all have to hang themselves together to please their father, Jawahar Rajawat, who will appear, bless them, and take away their troubles.

The Hesitation and The Stubbornness

A few family members, especially Aadesh's wife, are doubtful of Bhuvan's demands from them. The other members are worried about Jawahar's old wife and the kids. But Bhuvan is stubborn and tells his family that every member will participate in this ritual.

The Delusional Son

When the family stood on a stool with their heads tied to the rope, Bhuvan thought the water in the bowl would turn red. But that doesn't happen. A disappointed Bhuvan kills all his family members together. Thus, cop Anya gets the answers about what happened to the family.

Aakhri Sach Episode 6 Review - Questionable Twist

In the sequence where the family members are dying, we see the water turning red and a glimpse of Rajawat looking at Bhuvan. It felt like the creators were justifying the horrific actions. They're giving a "happy ending" to Bhuvan's deadly delusions, which cost 11 lives; it was a distasteful and questionable twist by the makers.

A Badly Made Series

Even though we discover what led to the Rajawat family's death, the finale and the entire series are disappointing. The fictional elements ruined a story based on true incidents with many startling elements.

A Boring Tamannaah Bhatia

Tamannaah Bhatia's Anya was a dull character who often felt like a big hurdle in the storytelling. The series could've done much better and had a solid screenplay if the makers didn't waste time giving so much weight to Anya's ineffective backstory.

Is Aakhri Sach Worth Watching?

Disney+ Hotstar's crime series is a poor adaptation of the Burari Deaths Case of 2018, one of India's most unsettling cases. Robbie Grewal's show misses the terrifying element that will give you chills. You can skip the show and watch the documentary, 'House of Secrets: The Burari Deaths' on Netflix.
