Congratulations are once again in order for the V Slow Dancing hit from the BTS member’s solo debut album Layover. Prior to the highly awaited upcoming awards ceremony in October 2023, Kim Taehyung has already bagged his first golden trophy at The Fact Music Awards 2023. The ever-expanding voting tank on the Idol Plus app is a direct indicator of who may or may not take the glorious accolades home. With several stars from the K-pop sphere in the race for these awards, Taehyung will soon be awarded the physical trophy in person too.
The Fact Music Awards for this year had opened numerous categories under the FAN N STAR label that required fans to vote for their favourites to clinch the awards. These categories, namely, Most Votes Award Group / Solo, FanNstar Choice Award Group / Solo, Best Music Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, FOUR Star Award and more, included the ‘Best Fall Music’ category too.
With the live voting session having commenced on September 11, it has now finally come to a close on October 2, 2023, with Taehyung leading the star scale with the maximum number of votes in his name for the R&B track Slow Dancing.
Other names that had been nominated under the ‘TMA Best Music Autumn’ category were Young Tak, PLAVE, Jungkook, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER. Taehyung’s award in this category has been confirmed after the fans helped pool in 352,494,356 votes, while Young Tak has been labelled the runner-up, coming in close after BTS V with 348,831,813 votes.
Meanwhile, other categories that have also wrapped up their voting period are the ‘FAN N STAR CHOICE (Group)’ and ‘FAN N STAR CHOICE (Individual)’. The former has been won by BTS; Stray Kids, TXT, SEVENTEEN, and ZEROBASEONE were also nominated here. On the other hand, the latter has been led by Lim Young Woong, while Jin, Chiyeul Hwang, Kim Ho-joong, and Lee Chan-won were the other nominated artists in the same category.
