Twelve Episode 8 Recap
The episode opens with a breakdown of the angels and why they were created. Starting from episode 7, Tae-san engages in a fight with Sa-min and his followers as the world erupts in chaos, and O-gwi looks on. Just when Sa-min is about to harm Mirr, though, O-gwi arrives to stop him, and the two engage in a fight as Tae-san lies unconscious. Eventually, Sa-min stabs O-gwi to death, protecting Tae-san and Mirr as the two can only look on.
With O-gwi being mercilessly killed, Tae-san is overcome with anger and attacks Sa-min, eventually killing him and reviving Mirr. With the evil now vanquished, the angels seal the Hellmouth once again, while Mirr is left heartbroken at losing her soulmate once again. With peace now back on Earth, the fallen angels, too, come back to life, and they all have a happy reunion.

The angels eventually go back to life as normal, having been given another shot at life. While the previously dead angels adjust to modern life, the others are more than happy to guide their friends. However, Mirr is the only person who is left heartbroken at the loss of O-gwi and goes back to her special place with him, where she encounters something shocking. Tae-san feels it too, and the next shot is of their home destroyed and O-gwi’s heart beating. Does this mean there is more to the story than meets the eye?
Twelve Episode 8 Review

This is the most useless finales I have seen in a long time when it comes to a K-drama. Nothing is solved, nothing is discussed; it’s just a silly fight sequence which proves that neither the angels nor the demons are good at their jobs. The fight was silly and lacklustre, and we were still left on a cliffhanger when we had enough time to discuss literally everything. If this isn’t the prime example of a cash grab, I don’t know what is.
I don’t believe in O-gwi and Mirr’s relationship, I don’t understand the point of Mirr’s character, I don’t understand why O-gwi is supposed to be this scary antagonist, and I don’t get the point of the evil being left out into the world when it only makes humans do silly marches. There are so many questions and so few answers. I am simply left annoyed.
Here’s hoping there is never a second season.
