Too Hot to Handle Germany Review: No X-Factor, Only Sex-Factor

Too Hot to Handle Germany brings the viewers 10 episodes filled with individual contestants kissing, almost making love, pairing up, breaking up, and winning a huge prize. If you expect this show to be any different from the previous ones, wave bye and leave because it definitely won’t fit your criterion. Too Hot to Handle has always been the show where explicit scenes, intense sexual energy and other questionable activities would take place. Hence, in the Germany part, the same happens.

The official Netflix description of the show reads,

Ten gorgeous singles meet in a tropical paradise. Little do they know that to win the €200,000 prize, they’ll have to completely give up sex.

The main cast includes Stella Stegmann, Kevin Njie, Anna Strigl, Lorra Sophie, Emely, Onyi Alaike, Furkan Akkaya, Oliver Nunez, Laura Muro, Fabio Falconieri, Tobias Klein, Dennis Dromer, Paddy, Samira, and Marco Oberhausen.

Where can I start? What did I witness? Absolute nonsense, of course, but something about the show does make sense. Wait, am I making sense? Let’s break it down. Technically, ten individuals are invited to a tropical paradise where they believe they will have lots of fun, wild parties, sex and what not? But my question is, they know that they’re going to take part in Too Hot to Handle show which is already popular. So it is evident they know what will happen inside, yet they pretend they will have fun? Hmm, how scripted can this be.

Moving on, let’s believe they’re clueless about Lana and the house rules. If that’s the case, why did they all panic when the bot came out? Some even nodded in disbelief. So this means they all know about the show’s rules. My question is, who even wrote the script that’s deliberately fake and dumb?

Fine, let’s again believe they’re shocked to hear about the rules. Right in the first episode, the prize money gets drastically reduced. Then why are they given missions that ultimately make them do what they’re forbidden to do? The tasks are simply mousetraps placed for humans. Come on!

What’s The Purpose Of The Show Again?

This show’s supposed take-home message is that love is beyond sex. Ok? Is that what we’re going to learn and appreciate? Personally, no. All I measured from this show, the couples, their on-off romance, sexy suites, dates that had the law tied to it, and such, is that dating is dramatised. No lie.

Making a whole show on bringing good-looking people together and forcing them to keep their hands to themselves when the tasks they’re given deliberately messes up with their libidos is absolute torture. Truthfully, Too Hot to Handle is a human experiment; I can’t deny that. The show is definitely conducting a scientific test on people who volunteerly get misused.

Is The Show Pointless?

No. It isn’t pointless. It’s shameless. The show is definitely disturbing and has certain moments that might make it watchable (the cute romance between the cast, which is scripted, anyway). The show might also teach the viewers that relationships need communication, physical touch and mutual understanding. That’s it. To convey these key rules, the show uses the sex-factor as its click bait to teach viewers about love. So, the show isn’t pointless; it does make sense. However, it depends on who watches it.

If you’re in to see the drama, chaos, naked butts, steamy scenes, and simply to gossip and gag about the contestants, then the show is purely a watch. For others who watch and realise their dating ideas are pretty interesting, then Too Hot to Handle Germany is an affirmation show. Nevertheless, good movies are out there that actually teach you these. You don’t need to pressure ten people who always monitored by cameras.

Too Hot to Handle Germany Final Thoughts

I don’t know, but I feel bad for the contestants. I understand they have consented, but when you watch it, you’ll actually witness the real child-like personalities behind the contestants (except those who left). For instance, Akka is a goofy guy who pretends like a playboy but actually blushes for the kiss he awaits for days–a puppy love, indeed.

Then there is Emely, who becomes vulnerable, unlike the person she was initially portrayed as. Sophie entered with a glow like a goddess who would disrupt the couples’ peace, but she’s a sweetheart who took concern for Anna.

In the same way, many other contestants also expressed their fragile side, which made me wonder why this show doesn’t teach the contestants about relationship but shows the viewers the vulnerable side of them. It can also mean that they’ve been like that eversince but decided to act spicy for the show but ended up showing it out.

Again, these all can be scripted because the show felt fake. Nevertheless, I still felt bad that the contestants’ private moments are telecasted to the viewers.

If you want to watch the dating show, it’s streaming on Netflix. Head on and let us know your thoughts on the show in the comment section.
