Thor Love and Thunder Twitter Review: Fans Praise Christian Bale’s Portrayal of Gorr

Thor Love and Thunder, the fourth instalment in the film series has been released in theatres. The highly awaited Marvel film has been making buzz months before its theatrical release. The film is directed by Taika Waititi and stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Natalie Portman as Jane/Mighty Thor, Tessa Thompson as King Valkyrie, Taika Waititi as Korg and Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher, and Russel Crowe as Zeus.

Marvel Studios’ official synopsis reads- “Thor (Chris Hemsworth) embarks on a journey, unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. However, his retirement gets interrupted by Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), a galactic killer who seeks the extinction of the gods.

To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who to his surprise, inexplicably wields his magical hammer. Together, they set out on a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.”

So far the reviews have been praising the chemistry between Thor and Jane, while many were curious to see the new villains in the film franchise. And they have stood up to their expectations. The audience is in awe of Christian Bale’s portrayal of Gorr the God Butcher and could feel the psychotic villain’s energy from his expressions and marvellous acting.

However, in terms of the movie overall, the reviews call the film too rushed and like the development of till first part and feel like the second part doesn’t match up to it. Although, the screen captures of the film boast the aesthetic cinematography that elevates the movie.
