Meanwhile, So Mun is finally able to get Ju-seok under control, but right before he is about to summon him, Pil-gwang appears and takes him away. The chaos soon comes to an end and Mae-ok begins to save Ha-na who is seriously injured. On the other hand, Pil-gwang and the spirit inside Ju-seok have a conversation at last. The spirit tells him that it is unable to fully control Ju-seok and Pil-gwang needs to fuel his rage so that the spirit can get stronger.

Meanwhile, everyone is worried at the Spirit immigration office and Gi-wen tells them that they can no longer tell Ju-seok the truth. This will only make the evil inside him stronger after he confronts Pil-gwang. Elsewhere, Mae-ok saves Ha-na while So Mun questions Mo-tak about their goal of saving people.

The next day, Ju-seok finally wakes up and Pil-gwang tells him that the real culprit behind the scam case is not dead but alive. This heightens Ju-seok’s desire for revenge as he proceeds to check the legitimacy of Pil-gwang’s words. Meanwhile, Gelly now suspects Pil-gwang and understands that he has given up on her the same way he gave up on Wong.

On the other hand, everyone at the police station is surprised and frustrated due to Ju-seok when Mo-tak points out how it was their indifference towards the scam case that led to this. He brings their focus to reopening the case and finding out where the money went so as to put a proper stop to everything.

Elsewhere, Gelly subtly breaks into the prison where Wong is held and kills him. Later, she meets Pil-gwang and confronts him for having left her behind after which she points out how she is still important to him because her revelation of his crimes in front of Ju-seok will leave him without help to face So Mun.

This touches the line and Pil-gwang has no choice but to let her go. Meanwhile, Mo-tak brings Jeok-bong to identify other scammers and try to get a lead on Lee Chung-jae. He brings his yield to the others and they pretend to have noticed an evil spirit among the group to go ahead and capture them.

Elsewhere, Do-hwi is seen approaching a young student who is a talented pianist and tries to convince her to join a competition when she refuses and tells him that they need to go to a fair. It turns out that the scammers found by Mo-tak had been forcing the people in the area to sell their land for development.

So Mun and the others soon break into their meeting and gather the scammers while Do-hwi gets the police due to his doubts about what his student told him earlier. The Counters come face to face with Do-hwi and are excited to see someone who could be Ha-na’s potential boyfriend.

Their enthusiasm makes Do-hwi drunk to the point where he gets sick and soon the Counters all leave him with Ha-na to take care of him. The two make their way back and spend a happy time together, unaware that Gelly has been watching the two from afar. Later that night, Mae-ok speaks to her son about the man who escaped the group they caught earlier.

It was non-other than the first person she saved whom she came across for the second time earlier that day. She ponders about the man and finally decides to meet him the next day. She treats him to a good meal and later drops him home, unaware that Chung-jae’s man is on his way to kill him.

Mae-ok dashes into Mo-tak and the two talk about the man when the killer walks past them. He captures the young man when Mae-ok dashes in and saves the man while Mo-tak notices that a call from Chung-jae’s side has come on the killer’s phone. The Counters get the clue that the man is playing golf somewhere and begin marking down all the places that they can check.

Right then, Ha-na arrives and tells them that Ju-seok has stepped into the territory and the group soon follow his track. They find out that his new victim is one of the people involved in pronouncing Chung-jae dead and confirm that he is going behind Chung-jae.

The group then make a move to return, but not before dropping Ha-na on the way as she leaves to meet Do-hwi. The two go to their old school and reminisce their memories when Ha-na tells him that she too had feelings towards him in the past. However, now she hopes that they leave the past there and move forward without having any more connection between them.

Do-hwi is surprised but right then Gelly appears and blocks Ha-na with Do-hwi’s life in her hands. She mocks Ha-na before throwing Do-hwi away and attacking Ha-na. They get into a brawl when Gelly is finally able to attack Ha-na’s eye, thus, getting another chance to mock her as well as an opening to harm her.

Ha-na calms herself down and tries to focus on the sounds when Gelly proceeds but is blocked by Do-hwi. Frustrated, Gelly stabs Do-hwi which shocks Ha-na as she pushes her away and finally unleashes her fury.

Episode 7 brings some happy moments for Ha-na, but her life is filled with ups and downs and it doesn’t take long for things to go downhill for her. Meanwhile, So Mun’s questions about being a Counter may bring some changes in the near future and it looks like there is also a chance for us to soon be losing a Counter.

The second half of the season has finally begun and this is definitely an exciting start to this part. With conflicts and strength bringing huge turns to both sides, it will be quite a fun watch as the season slowly brings itself to a close.

  1. The 2nd season is terrible. The actors are doing their best but the writing is terrible. A lot of screen time is being taken up by a new counter plot line but it’s SAS and made even worse by his overacting. I’ve seen him before and he’s been ok so likely a directors failure. The comedy bits are particularly clumsy and overdone. Painful to watch these great actors wasted.
