The Uncanny Counter Season 2 Overview

The Uncanny Counter Season 2 (경이로운 소문 2: 카운터 펀치) brings the return of the supernatural mystery comedy-drama of the same name directed by Yoo Seon-dong. The show stars  Cho Kyeong-kyu, Yoo Joon-sang, Kim Se-jeong, Yeom Hye-ran, Ahn Suk-hwan, and Yoo In-soo in the lead roles alongside other cast members.

The new season continues the story of the group of Counters who catch evil spirits from the afterlife who have come in search of immortality. With new members joining the gang and bigger evils coming their way, the Counters are ready for a counterattack and stop anyone who comes their way.

The Uncanny Counter 2 takes over tvN’s Saturday-Sunday 9:20 PM KST time slot previously occupied by See You in My 19th Life.

The synopsis of the show reads, “Armed with new powers and fresh recruits, the Counters continue their battle against evil demons who feed on humans.”

The battle of the brains begins when So Mun and Pil-Gwang face off against each other at the restaurant filled with children. Meanwhile, Joo-seok rushes to take his revenge on the fraudulent while it is discovered that the newest Counter has a mystical sense of smell which can smell a spirit.

The Counters once again begin practice to strengthen themselves while Mae-ok and Jang-mul come across Pil-Gwang alone. Will tragedy hit the counters again?

The Uncanny Counter Season 2 Episode 2 Recap

The Counters finally get a new member when Mo-tak finds a man risking his life for another and sends Gi-Wen the signal to recruit him. Meanwhile, tragedy hits when Min-ji is found dead after the three evil spirits attack her through the fraudulent who was put on probation after a trial.

Joo-seok is devastated while the Counters welcome and train their newest member. However, Ha-na detects Wong through the territories and the team arrive to catch him. During the brawl, Ha-na takes a look into his memories and sees his connection to the Counters in China as well as Min-ji. The latter half comes as a shock and they later find out what really happened to Min-ji.

The Counters are furious and ready for revenge. The next day, So Mun sketches out the faces of the evil spirits when Pil-Gwang decides to make a stop at the restaurant.
