-The Mosquito Coast Season 2 Episode 7 Recap Contains Spoilers-
Throughout the new season, the creators have been teasing the viewers about Charlie and “the man on the beach”. The questions looming since episode 1 have finally been answered. The episode starts with the Fox family back on the Mexican beach where they hid when they escaped the U.S. government.
While the rest of the family is trying to make the best out of the situation, Dina gets upset and starts to blame her father for the situation that they are in. This upsets Charlie, and the siblings get into a fight. Later, the entire family is seen discussing their plan to escape the island. Each member goes off to buy the supplies that they will need.

But Margot has plans of her own, and she tells Dina that they will escape the island back to their country after finding Charlie. Meanwhile, Allie is buying a boat, and Charlie is busy finding supplies for their trip. But Charlie is forced to hide when he comes across the van that was stalking them earlier. After carefully leaving the situation, he is met with a man leaking information about his family.
Infuriated and scared, Charlie pulls a gun and warns him to step away. The man remains unaffected by Charlie’s threats and proceeds to send the picture to his teammates. Suddenly the barrel goes off, and the man is on the ground bleeding. Confused, Charlie tries to escape, but the authorities capture him in time.
Subsequently, Allie, along with Dina and Margot, plan to rescue Charlie, but on the other hand, William, the contract killer hired to capture the family, sets out to seek revenge for the murder of his partner. Allie is successful in rescuing his son after much difficulty. The last few minutes of the episode show how the entire family escapes on the boat.

The Mosquito Coast Season 2 Episode 7 Review
The story’s progression was slow-paced in this episode which kept it interesting. The gradual process of development of the plot helped with the storytelling process. The background score and the eye-catching visuals were the most noticeable aspect of the episode. Nevertheless, there were a lot of plot holes, leaving the audience disconnected from the characters.
Justin Theroux yet again stole the show with his incredible performance. He was committed to the role and delivered what the script demanded. The other supporting characters also did a satisfactory job.

The Mosquito Coast Season 2 Episode 7 is now streaming on Apple Tv+.
