The Good Bad Mother (나쁜엄마) is an upcoming South Korean drama series that will be premiering on JTBC. Earlier today, the first teaser of the show was finally released. Directed by Shim Na Yeon and written by Bae Se Young, the story follows an unusual mother-son relationship and how it evolved following a tragic accident.

The short teaser trailer opens by showcasing the turbulent journey of a single mother. She is the owner of a small pig farm in a rural village. She is so involved in her work that she ends up giving birth at the pig farm itself. However, she remained determined to work hard and provide a life for her child that she never received.
Due to growing up alone and fending for herself, she did not want her son to inherit her bad fortune. She started to become stricter with him and displayed no weakness in front of him. With her persistent guidance, he succeeds in raising him to be a successful and highly educated prosecutor. But things soon go south one day when he meets with an accident and suffers from a major injury. The accident led him to develop amnesia, and he goes back to acting like a child again.
The story is about mainly about the fickle relationship between a mother and her son. Poverty and hardships made a mother act harshly towards her only son, which in turn also made him a cold-hearted person. The accident presented them with an opportunity to reconnect and mend the broken relationship.
Ra Mi-ran takes up the role of Jin Young-soon, a tough single mother who runs a pig farm and Lee Do-hyun plays the role of Choi Kang-ho, the son who grew up to be an excellent prosecutor. It is expected that we will get to witness the complexity of a mother-son relationship and how a tragic incident can affect them both. Ahn Eun-jin, Kim Sun-bin, Yoo In-soo, Jung Woong-in and more will also appear as supporting cast in the show.
