That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 16 Recap

This episode took a more romantic turn than usual for the series. We are introduced to Momiji, the daughter of the Tengu elder, who has come to speak with Rimuru. Before revealing her intentions, the episode flashes back to when Benimaru and Albis visited the Tengu village to discuss building a highway.
During their meeting with Momiji, Benimaru and Albis clarified that they had no intention of claiming Tengu’s land. They only seek permission to pass through the Kush mountains, home of the Tengu, and possibly dig a tunnel to facilitate the highway. However, the discussions don’t go as smoothly as planned, as Momiji immediately picks a fight with Albis, establishing a competitive rivalry.
The situation calms down when Momiji’s mother, Lady Kaede, arrives. She reveals her deep connection with the Oni, having trained under Master Byakuya, Hakurou’s grandfather. A surprising revelation follows, suggesting a close relationship between her and Hakurou. The episode’s biggest surprise comes when Kaede announces her expectation for Benimaru to marry Momiji.
The tension escalates as it becomes clear that Albis also has feelings for Benimaru. The situation turns into a battle for Benimaru’s hand, especially when Rimuru gets involved. Meanwhile, Rimuru and his subordinates candidly discuss their own romantic challenges and desires.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 17 Review and Recap

Today we had the last meeting between the higher-ups of the Jura Tempest federation before the founder’s festival. Here, Rimuru also presents Mjöllmile to others and informs them that he plans to make Mjöllmile, a financial manager if things go well in the upcoming festival. Mjöllmile thus, starts to present how things will go from one day to another and which event will happen when.
On the first day, the festival will start with foreign dignitaries, merchants and adventurers coming from all parts of the world. They plan to treat the bodyguards of the dignitaries with free food, raising their favorability immensely. Other than that, they also wish to host a palatial banquet for the nobility and serve them with high-quality Tempest special food. From then, the festival will start with a speech from the main attraction, Rimuru himself.

After that, there will be many other events, but on the third day, the highlight, which is the dungeon, will be opened. However, there is one problem with it, the forest at the bottom level, has started to rise immensely, which needs cleaning. Other than that, Rimuru will also need some high-level dungeon masters to control each level.
When thinking about who can be a good fit as a cleaner, Ranga presents him with the fox spirit that he has been raising. Rimuru then names this new monster Kumara and decides to go with the recommendation from Treyni and Shuna for the dungeon masters.

In the next half, things become more interesting when we get introduced to a new character, Masayuki. He is also an otherworlder who finds himself transported to this world. Then he was given the position of a hero with a pretty broken cheat skill. On top of it, he is immensely lucky as every situation surrounding him automatically results in his favour.
Verdict
Masayuki is an interesting character as he has all the hacks a main character should have. Plus, he also has ties with Yuuki, who is a major antagonist in this series. So, it will be interesting to see his role in Rimuru’s life.
