The actor's decision to move away from the cameras and buzz into a quieter place opens up into what the movie portrays as thriller. There is a question of trust and self discovery that the movie itself marinates throughout.
Outer Banks Season 5 gives a proper ending to all the characters. John and Sarah get their forever, while Kiara finds her purpose and we get to remember JJ through her memories. Pope and Cleo are finally together and Rafe left. The treasure that was the center of the story is also found, finally!
