Siren’s Kiss Episode 9 Recap
Episode 9 begins with Seol-ah getting arrested by the cops. When Joo-young warns Seol-ah not to take a step, Seol-ah still proceeds to walk so that she can be shot. When Joo-young aims her gun, Woo-seok jumps in, and the bullet grazes his arm. Seol-ah is arrested, and Woo-seok feels miserable. In the interrogation room, Seol-ah doesn’t respond to any of Joo-young’s questions.
Meanwhile, Woo-seok searches Jun-beom’s villa and finds a blood stain which might belong to someone else. He then searches the woods and finds a footprint and some blood stains on a tree. Woo-seok comes to the police station and gives them the evidence proving Jun-beom is actually Su-ho, who had a face transplantation. He also adds about another person’s presence during the murder.

The cops are confused as to why Seol-ah is always the suspect but never the criminal. After requesting the cops, Woo-seok gets the chance to meet Seol-ah. In the interrogation room, he checks up on her, and she asks about his arm. Then he proceeds to ask about Jun-beom, but Seol-ah tells him that he might also die because she is a scammer. Realising that she’s purposely blaming herself, Woo-seok tries to reassure her that nothing would happen to him. But to protect him, Seol-ah tells the cops to take Woo-seok away, as she doesn’t want him to be involved.

Woo-seok still tries to find data on the real criminal. The cops also realise that Seol-ah might not be the criminal, not yet. Seol-ah even gets a resignation form that needs to be signed, but she tears it and tells her she’ll return. During an interrogation, she reveals how there was a blackout at the villa, and when she went out to see where Jun-beom was, she found him dead. Seol-ah is released momentarily, and Woo-seok waits at the entrance to talk to her.
She pushes him away, but he stands firm. Seol-ah then collapses, and Woo-seok takes her to his home. We also see Eun-hyuk witnessing this and kind of getting upset that Woo-seok is taking care of her. At Woo-seok’s place, Seol-ah has a nightmare. She then wakes up to Woo-seok’s home-cooked food, and she tearfully eats it. As she leaves, she ends whatever relationship she has with Woo-seok and walks off.

At the Royal Auction office, Sun-ae subtly makes Seol-ah realise that she won’t be leading the upcoming auction but will have to go to the Busan branch and stay there for the time being. Meaning, she simply wants Seol-ah to resign. Seol-ah doesn’t take it to heart but rather proceeds to find dirt on Sun-ae. As Seol-ah visits one of the buildings owned by Sun-ae, Eun-hyuk joins her. He doesn’t let Seol-ah investigate the building but says that he will handle it.
On the flip side, Woo-seok visits another building owned by Sun-ae and finds evidence that a package placed at the entrance of apartment 304 mentions the name of a guy who is just 23 years old. He sees the pattern of how, in the past, the insurance claimed by Sun-ae belonged to young guys. Just then, a man comes in a luxurious car and enters the elevator. Before he could see Woo-seok, who was also waiting on the 3rd floor for the elevator, someone pulled him aside.

The man walks towards 304, and we see Seol-ah holding down Woo-seok, meaning she is aware of what’s going on and who the culprit is.
Siren’s Kiss Episode 9 Review
Woo-seok getting shot when he tried to save Seol-ah is so romantic! Seol-ah almost instantly checks his arm and also asks about it when he comes to visit her, showing she does love him. Seol-ah’s silence is really thrilling to watch because it is so unpredictable what’s going to happen next. So far, she seems to be a good person here, but something still seems off about her.

Adding on to this, the mystery element keeps getting more intriguing. The final moments are especially gripping, Seol-ah stopping Woo-seok from exposing himself hints that she’s already a step ahead, even if it means isolating herself further. We still have only three more episodes, so let’s see what’s going to happen!
