The fourth episode of Shrinking opens with Jimmy having a rough day professionally. Sean is unresponsive, Paul is distant due to their previous argument, and one of Jimmy’s clients misunderstands the situation and tries to make a move on him.

All in all, the stress and frustration boil over when Gaby allows Alice to speak to Jimmy about his teenage relationship with Connor, Liz’s son. This makes Jimmy lose his composure and confront Liz,  and inform her that he doesn’t need her interference in his life.

Even though the spat starts with Jimmy being infuriated about the idea that their daughter and son might be a thing, it eventually ends in an understanding that it was just a teenage move.
