Now that Dorothy’s new helpers are here, Leanne has been agitated. She thought Dorothy and her were doing good on their own and didn’t need any help per se. But Beverly and Roberta make themselves comfortable in the house, knowing that Julian and Sean are welcoming them into the home. Additionally, they seem to be taking really good care of her by bringing her food and making her do exercises around the house.
They are not just taking care of Dorothy but are also recommending books and spending time with each family member, trying to comfort them after Dorothy’s accident. She suggests Julian read an organisational book from a Japanese author while giving Sean a book about love languages. Leanne sees this and feels like the two are cult invaders trying to gain the trust of the family members.
What drives her up the wall, though, are the toys left in Jericho’s room. She feels like the women have come for the baby and are putting him in danger with those toys. They even leave Leanne a book about learning social skills as a teenager, which is a great callback to her cult past and her personality in the first few seasons.

After this altercation, Leanne has no patience for the ladies. She asks Julian to look into them. While running an errand for Sean, he quickly looks at their rooms and finds nothing except a traumatising range of sex toys. Dorothy, however, has been trying to make some progress in getting back on her feet. Beverly and Roberta are trying their best to get her back on her feet, which she does, but when she tries to take a step, she falls horribly.
Since Bev and Bobby (their nicknames) are trained in alternative forms of healing, they decide to hold a séance for Dorothy, which ends a little interestingly. When Julian puts a few objects in front of Roberta, she can see a few people in their life who have passed. Her uncle Robert and her mother both show up. Julian didn’t initially believe anything but when Roberta told him that his mother was directly speaking to him, he was taken aback by the accuracy of the advice. In fact, Roberta came very close to revealing the Jericho secret, but Sean shut the whole thing down
Leanne chose to bring her death knife, which she also used to cut open Roberta’s clothes to see if she was from the cult. She later tells Julian that she would have gone as far as to kill her if she had seen a scar. Thankfully, Roberta was cleared of any guilt. But Dorothy was reminded that Leanne was still deeply attached to her after the nanny walked into the room and slept right next to her when a rogue nightmare plagued Leanne.

Servant Season 4 Episode 3 Review
Unlike the last episode, there was some clear tension in the house. It has to be noted that Ishana Night Shyamalan is a fantastic director in that the shots and the camera movements were fantastic. She has managed to capture elements of the thriller genre perfectly well through well-placed camera angles and lighting. One of the best shots in this episode is the one where Julian reveals the box from Bobby and Bev’s room, and the camera moves with the box.
For as long as the show has been going on, the secret of Jericho’s ‘death’ has been weighing on the whole family, and the best part about it coming to light in this context is that they would not have expected two sweet old ladies revealing such a harrowing secret. Additionally, there is a great parallel in Dorothy and her mother and Leanne’s relationship with her employer.

There is a push and pull between the two women in the house, very similar to what one would have with a mother. Especially the use of the line, “Go to your room,” is so indicative of the relationship people have with their parents. It is a wonderful episode because there is just the right amount of tension, edge, violence and attitude that Leanne brought to this episode.
