Salaam Venky Trailer: Kajol-Vishal Jethwa Bring Us an Emotional Tale of Living Life Large

Salaam Venky is an upcoming drama film centred around a true story of a woman and her fight against all odds. The film is directed by national award-winning filmmaker Revathi (Mitr: My Friend) and stars Kajol (Tanhaji, Fanaa) and Vishal Jethwa in the lead role. Moreover, the screenplay for the film is written by acclaimed lyricists Kausar Munir and Sammeer Arora.

The complete cast of the film includes Rahul Bose, Rajeev Khandelwal, Aahana Kumra, Prakash Raj, Priya Mani, Riddhi Kumar, Aneet Padda, Jai Neeraj, Maala Parvathi, Kamal Sadanah and a special cameo from Aamir Khan.

The trailer of the heartwarming flick starts with Sujata (played by Kajol) and her son Venky (played by Vishal Jethwa), who suffers from a terminal disease, which has also left him paralysed. During the introduction, we can see Venky casually discussing the aftermath of events surrounding his death.

The rest of the trailer finds Sujata working against all odds, to give his son the life of his dreams. Moreover, she may be alone in the process but her dedication to her son surpasses everything and everyone. The soundtrack by Mithoon further heightens the stake of the film and exudes all emotional vibes.

The producer of the film Shraddha stated, “ This film is an extremely special project for all of us, Its has been a privilege to work with Kajol, Revathy ma’am and other renowned actors. We have made this film with love, we really hope the audience receives it with open arms and showers it with love and support”.

Furthermore, the lead actress Kajol herself mentioned, “I feel, I am very fortunate to play the role of Sujata and also being directed by Revathy. Since the day I heard about the idea of the film, it touched my heart too deeply and I knew I definitely wanted to be a part of this wonderful story.”
