Now that the Queendom Puzzle winners have been announced, K-pop fans can finally move on to the next stage of fawning over the EL7Z UP members so revealed during the final broadcast of the Mnet Korean music reality show (퀸덤 퍼즐). The survival show is a television spin-off of the original Queendom series, and is hosted by Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon. It features contestants from several currently active K-pop girl groups.
Centred around the super project of creating a new global girl group with members across these different groups, the performance-based show with eliminations and selections happening every week starred members from groups like Lovelyz, AOA, WJSN, Weki Meki, H1-KEY, Weeekly, Rocket Punch, tripleS, PURPLE KISS and more. Live streamed on Mnet’s YouTube channel on a weekly basis, the show’s last episode finally concluded the competition race on August 15, 2023, with real time voting inputs from the audience.
Previous week’s semi final episode had promoted the remaining 14 contestants to proceed further so that Queendom Puzzle Episode 10, i.e. the last episode of the season could seal their fates forever. These semifinalists included woo!ah! Nana, H1-KEY Hwiseo, Lovelyz Kei, WJSN Yeoreum, PURPLE KISS Yuki, CLC Yeeun, Rocket Punch Yeonhee, Weki Meki Elly, Rocket Punch Juri, Dohwa, Weeekly Jihan, Rocket Punch Suyun, woo!ah! Wooyeon and tripleS Jiwoo.
The much-anticipated finale then introduced the world to the last reigning 7 winners who won a position each in the new girl group, decided on the basis of the 50% of global votes punched in by fans through the Mnet Plus app and 50 % of Korean votes registered either through the same medium or by text.
EL7Z UP Members aka Queendom Puzzle Final Lineup Revealed
Now debuting together and securing a place for themselves as part of the new K-pop girl group project (read as an anagram of the word ‘Puzzle’), 7 members starting a new journey altogether are – H1KEY Hwiseo, woo!ah! Nana, PURPLE KISS Yuki, Lovelyz Kei, WJSN Yeoreum, Rocket Punch Yeonhee and CLC Yeeun.
Future EL7Z UP Promotions
Since the members have been announced, Mnet has also launched the group’s officials Twitter, Instagram and Facebook profiles, as mentioned in the Instagram post embedded above. The septet will be working on a music album together, kicking off their global tour schedule and preparing a special performance stage for MAMA Awards 2023. The dates for all these promotions and events will be officially announced in due time. As far as their debut date is concerned, that’s reported slated for September 2023 as of now.
