Pseudo Harem or Giji Harem is a Japanese manga series created by Yū Saitō. Initially shared as a webcomic on Saitō’s Twitter from June 2018 to March 2021, it gained popularity and was subsequently serialized in Shogakukan’s Monthly Shōnen Sunday starting January 2019 until its conclusion in March 2021. The series’ chapters were compiled into six tankōbon volumes.

Pseudo Harem is set to premiere on Jul 5, 2024, on Fridays at 00:30 (JST).
A new anime adaptation the well-known manga series was announced on April 10, 2023. Produced by Nomad, the series is directed by Toshihiro Kikuchi, with Yūko Kakihara writing the scripts. Character designs are by Yoshihisa Sato, while music production is handled by Pony Canyon, with Takeshi Watanabe composing the soundtrack.

The opening theme song, “Blouse” (ブラウス), will be performed by Gohobi, and the ending theme song, “Ad-lib” (アドリブ), will be sung by Saori Hayami as her character Rin Nanakura. Crunchyroll has licensed the series for streaming, making it accessible to a global audience.

Eiji Kitahama, a second-year high school student, dreams of becoming popular. To help him achieve this, Rin Nanakura, his junior in the drama club, uses her exceptional acting talents to create an illusion of a harem of adoring girls around him.

Each imaginary girl displays affection toward Eiji, but the true feelings come from Rin, the actress behind them. As Rin’s diverse performances keep Eiji entertained and happy, the question remains whether Rin herself will ever capture his heart.
