Dave Bautista is back with the trailer of his upcoming thriller movie Knock at the Cabin and we are excited by what we see. Bringing together the apocalyptic theme along with a tough choice to make, this trailer has definitely piqued our curiosity.
The trailer that was released earlier today really did bring up our questions about the upcoming film that brings a normal-looking family to the centre of a world-changing event. How is this family connected to the apocalypse?
Directed by the well-renowned M. Night Shyamalan, the movie stars Dave Bautista, Rupert Grint, Jonathan Groff, Ben Aldridge, Nikki Amuka-Bird, and Kristen Cui, alongside other cast members.
Knock at the Cabin Trailer Breakdown
The trailer begins with a happy family of three making their way to a cabin in the middle of the woods for a vacation. They are here to have fun as they sometimes play in a nearby lake or relax at their cabin deck.
As their daughter, Wen, spends her time scribbling in her little notebook, a man suddenly appears at a distance and starts to approach her. The scene then shifts to inside the cabin when her two dads are surprised by the sudden knocking that they hear at the door.

The man introduces himself as Leonard to Wen and when she asks his reason to be there, he tells her that he is supposed to make friends with her and her dads. However, he is heartbroken because of what he is going to be doing today.
Once again, the scene shifts back to inside the cabin where the fathers are checking on who is knocking at the door through the window. Upon seeing that there is a woman who is carrying some sort of weapon, they get anxious and start to think of ways to defend themselves.
Leonard’s voice is heard in the back as Wen seems to be making her way back inside the cabin. As he tries to tell her that they have an important job to do which might in fact be the most important job in the history of the world.
As the knocks turn to bangs on the door, the fathers are quick on their feet to secure the door and get hold of something to fight. They can see an impending danger and cannot help but be worried for their family. However, it is all for nought as the intruders soon make their way inside.
Leonard then tells them of their mission that they cannot ignore and tells them that he along with his three companions are here to prevent the apocalypse. This family has been chosen to make a horrible decision and if they fail to choose then the world will come to an end.
The trailer soon comes to an end but not without a quick flash of a woman with her head covered who seems like she has been taken, hostage.

The trailer is really intense and soon gets your attention because the fearful faces of both the family who have been taken as hostages and the captures bring up questions in our minds. What does this family have to do with the end of the world and what choice do they have to make?
We will find out when Knock at the Cabin releases on February 3, 2023, in theatres.
